    General Warnings and Information WARNING READ AND UNDERSTAND ALL INSTRUCTIONS IN THIS MANUAL AND IN YOUR VEHICLE OWNER’S MANUAL BEFORE INSTALLING OR USING THIS BOOSTER SEAT. THE CHILD’S SAFETY DEFENDS ON YOUR CORREC INSTALLATION AND USE OF THIS BOOSTER SEAT. Failure to properly install or use this booster seat increases the risk of serious injury or death to the child and others in a sharp stop or crash.
  • Page 6 General Warnings and Information Child’s safety depends on: 1. Choosing the correct child restraint for the child’s age, weight and height. 2. Choosing the best location within the vehicle for installing the child restraint. If possible, the child should be correctly restrained in the back seat until age 13.

    WARNINGS Failure to properly use this booster seat or follow these warnings can result in serious injury or death of the child. Please read and follow all booster seat and vehicle instructions carefully. • Only use this booster seat with children who weigh between 40–100 pounds (18–45 kilograms) and whose height is between 40–57 inches (101–145 centimeters) who is capable of sitting upright unassisted.
  • Page 8 WARNINGS • Refer to the vehicle owner’s manual for appropriate seating locations when a booster seat is used. • Properly position the lap belt across the upper thighs and position the shoulder belt across the center of the shoulder. • Children under 13 years old should always ride in the back seat of the vehicle.

    Selecting a Vehicle Seating Location WARNING There are many different types of vehicles, vehicle seat belt systems, or other occupant restraint systems in use today. Accordingly, this manual can only give guidelines for proper installation in your vehicle. In addition to this manual, you must also read and understand the vehicle owner’s manual, which should address use of child restraints.

    Selecting a Vehicle Seating Location 7.1 Overall Considerations for Selecting a Seating Location: • Please review the vehicle’s owner’s manual to determine the best location for Booster Seat use, any specific instructions for Booster Seat installation, or to determine if any locations are unsafe for Booster Seat use.

    Selecting a Vehicle Seating Location Seating Locations to Avoid DO NOT use this Booster Seat in the following seating locations. • Never use this Booster Seat in a vehicle seating location that has an Active Air Bag unless allowed in the vehicle’s owner’s manual.

Use Vehicle Shoulder Belt Positioner to center Vehicle Shoulder Belt on child’s shoulders. • If child will not keep Vehicle Shoulder Belt properly positioned on shoulder, DO NOT use this Booster Seat.

    Booster Seat Installation and Use 8.1 Securing Child in Booster Seat with Vehicle Lap and Shoulder Belt 1. Place the Booster Seat on the vehicle seat in a seating location equipped with a Vehicle Lap and Shoulder Belt and centered between the Lap and Shoulder Belt Anchorages (see “Select a Vehicle Seating Location to Install Booster Seat”...
  • Page 20 Booster Seat Installation and Use 4. Pull the Vehicle Lap and Shoulder Belt across front of child and under both Armrests. Buckle the vehicle seat belt. Vehicle Shoulder Belt on buckle side must be under the Armrest. Position vehicle lap belt under Armrests and low on the hips, contacting the top of thighs.

Vehicle Shoulder Belt must contact the chest and be centered on the shoulder on the child DO NOT place Vehicle Shoulder Belt under child’s arm or behind.

    Vehicle Seat Belts Check that the Vehicle Seat Belt is Safe to Use The Booster Seat is designed to be used with a Vehicle Lap and Shoulder Belt ONLY. The vehicle seat belt must be capable of being positioned properly and snugly adjusted on child at all times.
  • Page 23 Vehicle Seat Belts Vehicle seat belt systems that are Adequate for installation of Booster Seat: The following vehicle seat belt systems can be used with the Booster Seat provided that all of the other requirements prescribed in these instructions, including seat position, and all instructions provided by your vehicle’s owner’s manual are followed.
  • Page 24 Vehicle Seat Belts Vehicle seat belt systems that are safe for installation of Booster Seat: DO NOT use the following types of vehicle seat belt systems with a Booster Seat. Lap Belt Only: DO NOT • use any type of Vehicle Lap Belt ONLY system with this Booster Seat.
  • Page 25 Vehicle Seat Belts Passive Restraint - Lap Belt with Motorized Shoulder Belt: • DO NOT use a vehicle shoulder belt that moves along a track. These systems typically move to surround the occupant when the door is closed. This type of vehicle belt system will NOT adequately restrain the Booster Seat.
