Getting Wonderbooks Ready for Circulation
• One charging cord is provided with every 4 Wonderbooks.
• Additional charging cords and wall adaptors can be purchased at
shop.playaway.com/accessories/all- accessories.
• To make it easy on your staff, we do not recommend circulating charging cords with Wonderbook.
• Patrons can use any standard Android micro USB cord to charge at home, if needed.
Charging Wonderbooks
• The battery life of a Wonderbook with a full charge is 12 to 14 hours.
• Wonderbooks charge with a micro USB cord. Plug the cord into the port on the bottom of the device.
• Each Wonderbook charges completely (from dead to full battery) in one hour.
• The average audio duration of a Picture Book is 10 minutes
• Picture Books and Leveled Readers average 85 to 95 plays before needing to be charged. Therefore,
you do not have to charge Wonderbook every time it is returned to the library.
• A flashing red light indicates a low battery and one hour or less of play time left.
It should be charged at this time. The red light will turn off once fully charged.
Using Wonderbooks
• Press
to turn on or off.
• Press
to reset the device.
• Slide
to the right for Learning Mode
• A solid green light indicates Wonderbook is in play mode.
• A flashing green light indicates Wonderbook is in pause mode.
• Once paused, the device will automatically turn off after four minutes of inactivity.
• Once the read-along experience has ended, the device will pause itself and then
turn off after four minutes of inactivity.
• Hold
down for 15 seconds to perform a hard reset.
