    ASSEMBLING SWITCH TO SAW CABINET IMPORTANT: When assembling the switch to the saw cabinet, make sure the motor power cord is NOT con­ nected to the power source. Remove outer hex nut from switch stem. Leave shakeproof lockwasher (A) Fig. 9, and inside hex nut on switch.
  • Page 7 Assemble the inside belt and pulley guard (A) to the three spacers using the three screws and washers (6), as shown in Fig. and replace belt. Raise and lower the saw blade and make sure belt does not come into contact with the belt guard. If necessary the inside belt and pulley guard (A) can be shifted.

    CONNECTING SAW TO POWER SOURCE A separate 230 Volt electrical circuit should be used for your power tools. This circuit should not be less than #14 wire and should be protected with a 15 Amp time lag fuse. If an extension cord is used, use only 3-wire extension cords which have 3-prong grounding type plugs and 3-pole receptacles which accept the tools plug.

    ADJUSTMENT fOR "WEAR" IN RAISING MECHANISM After a long period of time, it is possible that the raising worm and the teeth on the arbor bracket will wear slight­ ly resulting in play in the raising mechanism. To com­ pensate for this wear the raising worm and the arbor bracket can be brought closer together.
  • Page 12 RIP FENCE OPERATION AND ADJUSTMENTS The ri p fence can be used on either s ide of the saw blade. The most common location is on the right hand side. The rip fence is guided by means of guide rails fastened to the front and rear of the table.

    To check and adjust the 45 d egree setting of the miter gage, set the gage at 45 degrees, as shown in Fig. 31. Place a square against the face of the miter gage, as shown. You should obtain the same reading on the square at pOints and (B) where the square passes over the miter gage groove.
