- Page 3 STEP 1 - REMOVING THE FACTORY SKID PLATE FIG 1 FIG 2 Put on safety glasses. Remove six factory M12 bolts with a 15mm socket. (Fig 1) Remove the factory skid plate. (Fig 2) STEP 2 - SKID PLATE INSTALLATION FIG 3 FIG 4 Thread and install four factory M12 bolts with a 15mm socket.
