    Assembly Connecting the Upper Pole to the Lower Pole Put the decorative cover (G) through the lower pole (E), as shown below. Attach the three re ector panels 1 (A) together using M6 x 10 bolts (EE), M6 washers (HH) and nut caps (II). Attach the re ector panels 1 (A) to the re ector panel 2 (B) using M6 x 10 bolts (EE), M6 washers (HH) and nut caps (II).

  • Page 11 Assembly (continued) Connecting the Head Assembly to the Upper Pole Loosen the pre-assembled M6 x 10 hex bolts (CC) out of the head assembly (C). Insert the hose into the upper pole (D) using M6 x 10 hex bolts (CC), as shown below. Tighten all the bolts at this step.
  • Page 12 Assembly (continued) Connecting the Lower Pole to the Cylinder Housing and Securing the Cylinder Housing to the Ground Attach the lower pole (E) to the cylinder housing (F) using M6 x 20 combination hex bolts (AA). Once all of the bolts are in place, fully tighten the bolts. Insert the ground spikes (JJ) through the cylinder housing (F) into the ground.

    Operation WARNING: This product contains one AAA battery (LL). Swallowing a small battery can cause CHOKING HAZARD. Seek immediate medical attention if battery is swallowed or inhaled. Keep children away from the small battery.
  • Page 15 Operation (continued) Connecting the Hose and Regulator to Cylinder The propane gas and cylinder are sold separately. Every part of the heater shall be secure against displacement and shall be constructed to maintain a xed relationship between essential parts under normal and reasonable conditions of handling and usage.
  • Page 16 Operation (continued) Connect the Propane Cylinder Figure 1 The knob on the LP cylinder muct be closed. Make sure that the knob is turned clockwise to a full stop. The cylinder supply system must be arranged for vapor withdrawal. Check that the control knob on the control unit is turned off. Hold the regulator in one hand and insert the nipple into the valve outlet.
  • Page 17 Operation (continued) LEAK CHECK Whenever gas connections are loosened or removed, NOTE: you must perform a complete leak test. WARNING: Perform all leak tests outdoors. Extinguish all open flames. NEVER leak test when smoking. Do not use the heater until all connections have been leak tested and do not leak.

Do not use in unventilated or enclosed areas to avoid endangering your life.   • Page 19 Operation (continued) Lighting: Turn on the valve on the gas cylinder. Press and turn the control knob to HIGH (maximum) position (counter-clockwise 90°). (Figure 1) Holding down the control knob, press the igniter button several times until the main ame is ignited. Release the control knob 10 seconds after the ignition.
  • Page 20 Operation (continued) WARNING: FOR YOUR SAFETY Be careful when attempting to manually ignite this heater. Holding in the control knob for more than 10 seconds before igniting the gas will cause a ball of flame upon ignition. When Heater is ON: Emitter screen will become bright red due to intense heat.
  • Page 21 Operation (continued) Heater is away from gasoline or other ammable liquids or vapors. Heater is away from windows, air intake openings, sprinklers and other water sources. Heater is at least 24 in. on top and at least 36 in. on sides from combustible materials. Heater is on a hard and level surface.

    Care and Maintenance WARNING: FOR YOUR SAFETY Do NOT touch or move heater for at least 45 minutes after use. Re ector is hot to the touch. Allow re ector to cool before touching. To enjoy years of outstanding performance from your heater, make sure you perform the following maintenance activities every six months: Keep exterior surfaces clean.

Store heater upright in an area sheltered from direct contact with inclement weather (such as rain, sleet, hail, snow, dust and debris). If desired, cover heater to protect exterior surfaces and to help prevent buildup in air passages. Wait until heater is cool before covering.
