    Avoid working on system in rain or standing water. Proper Installation and Maintenance: The TerraGlide Portrait Mounting System must be installed, operated, and maintained as specified in this manual and the TerraGlide O&M manual. If not, then personal safety and product reliability may be compromised. Inspections of all components should be performed yearly to ensure there are no loose components, fasteners or corrosion.

  • Page 32 2. Verify the tilt angle is within tolerance as specified by the EPC. On the East-West slopes, the resulting compound angle of the PV modules may result in a skewed tilt angle. Terrasmart recommends measuring the tilt angle at the Rafter and not on the PV modules. Adjust as needed by raising or lowering the North Posts as shown in Figure 3.3.30.

    Bonding and Grounding Requirements Install lay in lug (Burndy CL501-TN or approved grounding device for the Terrasmart racking system) at the end of one Cee Purlin per rack following manufacturer’s instructions and as shown in Figure 3.4.1. Lay in 6 AWG copper equipment grounding conductor (EGC) into the lay in lug and route to NEC compliant direct to earth ground such as a properly sized grounding rod or to the main equipment ground.

UL 2703 Approved PV Module Bonding List (for TerraGlide Portrait, TerraGlide Landscape, and TerraFarm 3L) of this document for the appropriate bonding method for a chosen PV module.
