on the MSA F2XR helmet
Intended use ________________________________________________________________________
The SCORPION headset is intended for comfortable voice communication in harsh and noisy environments, for situations
where safety helmets are worn, and for use with analog or digital hand-held radios. The headset can be fixed to the MSA
F2XR helmet using the helmet adapter GA3734.
It is connected to the radio either via an adapter cable with PTT button or via a remote speaker microphone with headset
jack socket.

Please read these operating instructions carefully before using the SCORPION headset. You must also read the operating
instructions carefully for the radio set you are using.
Follow all safety instructions in these operating manuals.
Make sure that the limit values for temperature and air humidity specified under "Technical data" are not exceeded.
Warning: the headset speaker can produce high sound pressures. Please follow the guidance below to avoid hearing
damage:
Adjust the volume to its lowest level after switching on.
During prolonged use, adjust the volume so that you can still hear your own voice clearly.

Any repairs, modifications or spare-parts replacements (including cables and connectors) must be performed solely by MSA
Europe GmbH or by a MSA-approved repair company. Any other action shall void our warranty and liability for the product,
which shall be borne by the body initiating the action.

Positioning the microphone
The microphone should not be positioned directly in front of the
mouth to avoid unnaturally strong accentuation of sibilants and
plosives (sounds made by the letters "S", "F" or "P" for instance).

Gooseneck
The gooseneck lets you adjust the microphone easily
to the optimum position.
Please note:
Never bend the gooseneck into a sharp angle.
The bend radius must never be less than 30 mm.
Otherwise the tube may break during frequent use.
