【+】or【-】position and release, allow-
ing speed to be increased or decreased
by small amounts.
If you pull the control lever up or down
to the【+】or【-】position and hold it
there, the speed will continue to in-
crease or decrease, then once you have
reached the desired speed, all you need
do is release the control lever.
NOTICE
Only when the road ahead is clear will
the vehicle accelerate to the speed set.
Otherwise, it will follow the vehicle
ahead, maintaining the vehicle dis-
tance set.
Cancel cruise
There are two ways to cancel cruise:
Press the brake pedal.
〉
Push the control lever away from the
〉
steering wheel to the【CANCEL】posi-
tion and release.
If you want to resume cruise, pull the
control lever towards the steering wheel
to the【CRUISE】position and release.
Adjust the vehicle distance setting
Pull the vehicle distance setting adjust-
ment lever to adjust the vehicle distance
setting.
Each distance setting is speed-depend-
ent and not a fixed number of metres.
NOTICE
Setting a lower vehicle distance
〉
setting could result in the reaction
time being too short if an accident
occurs, and it is your responsibility to
adjust the vehicle distance setting to
a safe value.
When you are driving on a wet and
〉
slippery road surface you should
choose a larger vehicle distance set-
ting than when you are driving on a
dry road surface.
NOTICE
If the following situations arise, the ve-
hicle will automatically exit the cruise
function:
When the speed of the vehicle ex-
〉
ceeds 150 km/h.
Cruise has been cancelled for more
〉
than 5 minutes.
If you have been pressing on the ac-
〉
celerator pedal to accelerate for
more than 15 minutes.
If the vehicle is in Neutral, Reverse or
〉
Park.
If the driver's seat belt is released.
〉
If the driver's door is opened.
〉
If the parking brake is applied.
〉
If the ABS system is activated.
〉
If the hill descent control system is
〉
activated.
If the electronic stability control sys-
〉
tem is activated/turned off.
If the vehicle rolls backwards.
〉
If the brake disks overheat.
