Getting Started

Charging

The headset is partially charged at the factory. Please make sure that you fully charge it before using it for the first time.

To charge the unit, simply connect the headset to any active USB port or adapter using the USB charging cable. The headset can be fully charged in around 2 hours. When fully charged, the red LED indicator goes off.
Charging

Low Battery

When the indicator flashes in red twice every 15 seconds, the battery is running low. Please recharge the headset.

Turning the Headset On/Off

Turn on Press and hold the multi-function button for 4 seconds, the LED indicator flashes in blue 5 times.
Turn off Press and hold the multi-function button for4 seconds, the LED indicator flashes in red 5 times and goes off.

Pairing

Pairing

In order to pair the headset with your device, you will need to bring it to pairing mode first.

  1. Starting with the headset turned off.
  2. Press and hold the power button for about 7 seconds or until you see the red and blue lights flash alternately. This means the headset is in pairing mode and ready to be paired.
    You will see the blue light come first. Just keep holding the power button and soon you will see the light flashing in blue and red.
  3. Bring your device into paring mode.
  4. The headset should be listed as "Aukey EP-B26" in search results. Simply select the device name to connect.
  5. If a code or pin is required for pairing, please enter "0000".
  6. When successfully paired, the indicator should flash in blue twice every 7 seconds.

Notes

  • The headset will stay in pairing mode for 5 minutes at most if no pairing device is found. Afterwards, it will power off automatically.
  • The EP-B26 will switch to standby mode if pairing devices is switched off or disconnected for 5 minutes. Afterwards, it will power off automatically.
  • Maximum operating range for wireless headset is 33 ft (10m). If you move out of range, the headset will lose connection and go into standby mode. You will need to move back to within range and manually reconnect to your audio device.

Re-pairing

The EP-B26 headset will automatically connect to the last successfully connected device when switched on.

Pairing with two devices

The EP-B26 Wireless headset is capable of simultaneously connects to two devices. To do this:

  1. Follow the instructions in the "Pairing" section to connect the headset to device 1.
  2. Once connection is successfully established, disable the wireless pairing function on device 1, and turn off the headset.
  3. Follow the instructions in the "Pairing" section to connect the headset to device 2.
  4. Once connection between device 2 and the headset is established, go back to device 1, and bring the device 1 into paring mode.
  5. The headset should automatically connect to device 1.Or you can simply tap the headset name to connect from your device if it doesn't connect automatically.

You have now maintained an active connection with 2 devices at the same time. You can now make / answer phone calls from both devices.

Reset

Turn the headset on, simultaneously press and hold the volume+ and volume- button for 10 seconds or until you will hear a voice prompt. This will clear all setting/memory. Then the headset will automatically enter into pairing mode.

Controls and Voice Notification

Making phone call

Once connected, incoming phone call can be handled via controls on the headset.

Answer a call Press the multi-function button once
End a call Press the multi-function button once
Adjust the volume Press the volume + or – button
Redial last number Double press the multi-function button
Reject an incoming call Press and hold the multi-function button for 2 seconds
Mute / Resume a call During a call, press and hold the V- button for 2 seconds

Streaming music

Once connected, you can stream music from your device to the EP-B26 headset. Music will automatically pause with incoming phone call, and resume once the call is finished.

FAQ / Trouble Shooting

Q: The headset is on, but it is not connecting to my device?
A: In order for both devices to connect, you will need to bring both devices to pairing mode. Simply turn on the headset is not going to make them connect.

Please follow the instruction in the "pairing" section.

Q: I have established connection with my smartphone, but I am not hearing any sound?
A: Please make sure that you turn up the volume of both devices. Some smartphone requires you to setup the headset as an audio output device before sound is transmitted. Please see the instruction of your smartphone for details. If you are using a music player or other device, please make sure it supports A2DP stereo music profile.

Q: The sound is not very clear / the caller cannot hear my voice clearly?
A: Please adjust the volume on your phone and headset. Make sure there is no source of interference nearby. Stay close to your smartphone.

Q: Can I use the headset while it is charging?
A: No, you cannot use the headset while it is charging.

Q: Why the connection is not stable and cuts out intermittently?
A: Please make sure there are no objects between the headset and your device; please make sure there is no radio or WIFI interference nearby.

Q: What is the range of headset?
A: Wireless Sport Headsets have maximum range of 33 feet (10 m). However, the actual range will depend on usage and environment. Connection is usually good within 15 – 25 feet with no major obstacles between devices.

Q: The headset is not responding no matter what I do.
A: Please try to reset the headset (see "reset" section).

Q: My headset will not switch on.
A: Please recharge it and make sure it has enough battery power. If it is fully charged and still nothing happens or if you are not able to charge the unit, please contact our customer support for warranty cover.

Care and Maintenance

  • Keep the headset away from heat and humidity.
  • Do not put the product under direct sunlight or hot areas. High temperatures will shorten lifespan of the headset, battery and the internal circuit board.
  • Power off the headset when not in use and before storing.
  • Do not drop or knock your headset.
  • Do not use chemicals or detergents to clean the product.
