5. Menu functions

Your phone offers a wide range of functions that are grouped in menus.
Most of the menu functions have a brief help text. To view the help text, scroll to
the desired menu function, and wait for about 15 seconds.
You can set the help text on or off using the
Phone settings
menu. See "Phone settings," p. 36.

■ Access a menu function

1. In the standby mode, select Menu.
2. Scroll with the spinner to the desired main menu (for example ,Settings), and
select it.
3. If the menu contains submenus, select the one that you want (for example,
Call
settings).
If the selected submenu contains further submenus (for example
redial), repeat this step.
4. Select the setting that you want.
Select
Back
to return to the previous menu level, or select
key to exit the menu.

■ Messaging

The message services can only be used if they are supported by
your network or by your service provider (network services).
Note: When sending messages, your phone may display the words
Message
sent. This is an indication that the message has been sent by
your device to the message center number programmed into your device.
This is not an indication that the message has been received at the
intended destination. For more details about messaging services, check
with your service provider.
Text messages (SMS)
Your device supports the sending of text messages beyond the character limit for
a single message. Longer messages are sent as a series of two or more messages.
Your service provider may charge accordingly. Characters that use accents or
other marks, and characters from some language options like Chinese, take up
more space limiting the number of characters that can be sent in a single message.
