  • Page 2 The CM430 allows you to extend the control panels RS485 LAN. Table 1: shows the panel and panel firmware which are compatable with the CM430 converter module. MENU 7-7-0, Option 5 (Extend LAN Fail) must be set when using the CM430.
  • Page 3 The CM430 modules are point to point, which means they are paired devices. The CM430 module closest to the panel (Location 1) has to be set to ‘UDP Client’ and have its ‘Remote Host IP Ad- dress’ set to the IP address of the Remote CM430 unit.
  • Page 4 Connection Diagram A pair of CM430 modules is required for each link as shown below. Remote locations will require a local power supply wih backup battery to maintain connectivity during power outages. A CM720, 1 amp or CM723, 5 amp power supply module would be suitable for this task.
  • Page 5 CM430 Reset: The CM430 modules can be factory reset by using a thin screwdriver or paper clip to press the reset switch in the ~2mm hole that is next to the screw on the side of the unit. With the unit powered down, press and hold the reset switch and then power up, holding the switch closed for for 10 seconds, this will reset the unit back to factory de- fault.
