BEFORE 1ST USE

INSERT 2PCS AA-SIZE ALKALINE BATTERIES

  1. Push down the back cover as below.
    Before 1st Use - Step 1 - Push Down the Back Cover
  2. Install 2pcs AA Alkaline batteries (included) into the battery compartment in correct polarity markings. (Fig. 2)
    Before 1st Use - Step 2 - Install the battaries

Note: keep the back cover open for registration in next step.

REGISTRATION

WITH SWISSVOICE XTRA 2155 OR XTRA 3155 (MAX. 3 DOORBELLS CAN BE REGISTERED TO THE SAME BASE UNIT)

  1. Press and hold on the telephone base of Swissvoice Xtra 2155 (right handset side) or Xtra 3155 (left handset side) in idle mode for around 5 seconds.
  2. Red LED light bar on either base will be on.
  3. Press and hold Pair button on back side of Xtra Doorbell 8155 (Fig.2) about 5 seconds until blue LED around key on front side is flashing for registration. (Fig. 2) It takes max. 90 seconds to complete the registration process.
  4. When registration completes, the Xtra Doorbell 8155 will emit confirmation beep and blue LED around key will become on, and Red LED light on either base will be off.
  5. If the Xtra Doorbell 8155 is required for wall mounting with screws, Not necessary to close the back cover now, otherwise, close back cover and then use suitable screwdriver to tighten the screw on the bottom of Xtra DoorBell 8155 as below.
    Registration - Step 1 - Tighten the bottom screw

If registration fails, the base unit will not emit confirmation beep after 1 minute and the blue LED around key will be off after 2 minutes around.
Pls. repeat the above procedure by moving Doorbell closer to your telephone base.

OVERVIEW OF DOORBELL

Overview of DoorbellDOORBELL 8155

  1. Microphone
  2. Blue LED light' ring
  • Flashing when the doorbell is chimed or during the registration's process.
  1. CHIME button
  • Press to send a chime tone to the telephone.
  1. Pair buton
  • Press and hold to enter the registration mode.
  1. Loudspeaker

OPERATIONS

CHIME TONE / CHIME VOLUME

  1. Press OK key on your Xtra 2155 or Xtra 3155 handset when idle.
  2. Press or to select SET DEVICE then press OK.
  3. Press or to select DOORBELL, then press OK.
  4. Press or to select CHIME, then press OK.
  5. Press or to select CHIME TONE, then press OK, select your desired chime tone among 5 tones. You hear confirmation tones, or
    Press or to select CHIME VOL, then press OK, select your desired chime volume among 5 volume levels and volume off. You hear confirmation tones.
  6. To playback selected chime tone, you need to press key on Xtra Doorbell 8155, and then you can listen selected chime tone emitted from your telephone.

CALL DIVERT MODE

There are 3 modes of Call Divert when doorbell is activated: (OFF, AUTO, MANUAL)

OFF DIVERT MODE

Doorbell call is ringing Xtra 2155 or Xtra 3155 handset Xtra 3155 corded handset on base unit Xtra 2155 or 3155 base unit
Start conversation with Doorbell Press once in talk mode. Lift up corded handset. Press once in base speaker mode.
Reject Doorbell chime Press once. N/A N/A
End conversation with Door bell Press once. Put back corded handset on the base unit. Press once.

AUTO DIVERT MODE

It is very useful in case you or your family is not at home when doorbell is activated.

SET PRESET NUMBER
  1. Press OK key on your Xtra 2155 or Xtra 3155 handset when idle.
  2. Press or to select SET DEVICE then press OK.
  3. Press or to select DOORBELL, then press OK.
  4. Press or to select DBELL DVRT, then press OK.
  5. Press or to select PRESET NUM, then press OK.
  6. Input the telephone number, then press OK. You hear confirmation tones
SET CALL DIVERT TO AUTO MODE
  1. Refer to step 1 to 3 in Section 5.2.2.1.
  2. Press or to select DRVRT MODE, then press OK.
  3. Press or to select AUTO, then press OK. You hear confirmation tones

Whenever the doorbell is pressed, the call will be diverted to the preset telephone number directly. The telephone that the number preset will be ringing, and then you answer the call, then you can listen a message:
"This is a diverted call from doorbell. Please press any number key to start the conversation."
Then, you can press any key on your telephone to start conversation with the doorbell.

MANUAL DIVERT MODE

  1. Refer to step 1 to 3 in Section 5.2.2.1.
  2. Press or to select DRVRT MODE, then press OK.
  3. Press or to select MANUAL, then press OK. You hear confirmation tones

When doorbell is activated, Xtra 2155 or Xtra 3155 telephone will ring and the LCD of the handset will display "DOORBELL X IS RINGING". (note: X is number of your doorbell(s) used). Then, you can press on the handset to reject the doorbell call which will be automatically diverted to your preset number.

RECORD CONVERSATION BETWEEN DOORBELL AND TELEPHONE

  1. Press OK key on your Xtra 2155 or Xtra 3155 handset when idle.
  2. Press or to select SET DEVICE then press OK.
  3. Press or to select DOORBELL, then press OK.
  4. Press or to select RECORD?, then press OK.
  5. Press or to select ON, then press OK, You hear confirmation tones

To listen recorded conversation, you just play new voice message(s) into your Xtra 2155 or Xtra 3155 telephone unit. For details, please refer to the user guide of Xtra 2155 or Xtra 3155.

MONITORING'S MODE

STATUS OF DOORBELL

You can know the status (Active or Inactive or low battery) of Xtra Doorbell 8155:

  1. Press OK key on your Xtra 2155 or Xtra 3155 handset when idle.
  2. Press or to select DEVICES then press OK.
  3. Press or to select DOORBELL X, then press OK. (X is your selected doorbell if more than 1 doorbell registered)
  4. Press or to select STATUS, then press OK, and then you can see status of the Doorbell. (ACTIVE: Doorbell is active and within reception's range of the telephone; OUT RANGE: Doorbell is out of range of the telephone; LOW BATT: battery low of Doorbell). You hear confirmation tones

LOG HISTORY OF DOORBELL ACTIVATED

You can review the log history when the doorbell is activated through Xtra 2155 or Xtra 3155 handset as below.

  1. Press OK key on your Xtra 2155 or Xtra 3155 handset when idle.
  2. Press or to select DEVICES then press OK..
  3. Press or to select DOORBELL X, then press OK. (X is your selected doorbell if more than 1 doorbell registered)
  4. Press or to select LOG, then press OK. You hear confirmation tones and LCD of the handset will show "CHIMED AT: DD/MM HHMM". Then, you can press to view other history record.

TROUBLESHOOTING

No LED flashing on the Doorbell when it is pressed
  • Replace with 2pcs new AA alkaline batteries inside Doorbell if it is used for certain time (normally over 6 months*), the batteries may become empty.
    *: time depends on number of Doorbell pressed and the conversation's length.
Your Doorbell doesn't work with the telephone base (Swissvoice Xtra 2155 or Xtra 3155)
  • The Xtra Doorbell 8155 may be deregistered from your telephone base. Refer to Registration procedure for registration of your Doorbell again
  • The Xtra Doorbell 8155 may be out of range. Move it closer to your telephone base. Free field range: up to 250 metres**
    Indoor range: up to 40 metres**
    **Values may vary according to environment.

SAFETY

Do not attempt to open the batteries, as they contain hazardous chemical substances.
Your Doorbell is tested with splashing water resistant but make sure that your Doorbell is well assembled with back cover on the wall and tighten well with screw on the bottom.
