Hammering this tool will void the warranty.
Operating Instructions:
Note:
Lubricate the center forcing screw (18653) regularly to maintain operation of tool.
1. Remove the nut and through bolt from the pitman arm.
2. Remove the lock nut and mounting bolt from the pitman arm (if applicable).
3. Insert the two connecting arms (18652) on each side of the cross bar (18651) with the pins of the
connecting arms (18652) entering the through bolt hole.
4. Align the push cone (18654) with the parting line of the pitman arm and tighten the center forcing
screw (18653) until tight and in the correct position.
5. Turn the center forcing screw (18653) with an air ratchet or wrench until the push cone (18654) has
spread the pitman arm enough to be removed (do not excessively spread the pitman arm).
6. Support the spread when loosening the center forcing screw (18653).
