- Page 2 For the SmartLink Repeater (Transceiver) to operate, simply connect the 16 VAC Adaptor and the inbuilt 8.4 V rechargeable battery back up. Note – Do not leave the SmartLink Repeater (Transceiver) connected with the back up battery only and no Mains power for extended periods, as this will severely diminish operating range of the SmartLink Repeater (Transceiver) until Mains power is reconnected.
