Getting started
Note: If you insert your SIM card and use the Browser application, and
then you remove your SIM card and insert a different SIM card that has
been used to browse web pages on a cellular phone or a handheld,
when you attempt to open the Browser application again, your Browser
configuration might be lost. You cannot open the Browser applications.
To avoid losing your Browser configuration, you should not change SIM
cards.
If you remove your SIM card, verify that your handheld is turned off and
that it is not connected to the USB cable.

Inserting the battery

Before you insert the battery, verify that the SIM card holder is
locked into place.
Warning: Only use a battery that has been approved by Research In
Motion Limited. The use of another battery might present a risk of fire or
explosion, or it might damage the handheld.
Note: If you inserted a locked SIM card, you must install the desktop
software before you insert the battery. Refer to "Installing the desktop
software" on page 38 for more information.
