When using the RS232 interface and the host COM port is not actively open, the scanned data cannot be sent and SC312 will make an error sound. USB multi-interface model can be switched to an RS-232C interface model by exchanging the cable and changing setting.

If you have problems, make sure you are using the latest version of the USB Driver. After changing from HID to COM, depending on the compatibility of the host device, you may need to disconnect and reconnect the SC312 before the interface change is recognized by the host.
