iWaylink Inc. 6-9 Auto trigger In Auto Trigger mode, the scanner automatically detects a barcode and starts scanning. Auto Trigger is a configurable option. The scanner starts scanning automatically when it detects an abrupt change in brightness within the scan area. -

Inc. Chapter 7: INTERFACE SPECIFICATION The SC312 can be switched to USB (HID, COM) and RS-232C interface model by exchanging cable and setting. When using the RS232 interface and the host COM port is not actively open, the scanned data cannot be sent and SC312 will make an error sound. USB multi-interface model can be switched to an RS-232C interface model by exchanging the cable and changing setting. -

If you have problems, make sure you are using the latest version of the USB Driver. After changing from HID to COM, depending on the compatibility of the host device, you may need to disconnect and reconnect the SC312 before the interface change is recognized by the host. -

Exchange interface cables. Connect SC312 to host device. Connect power supply. SC312 sounds a signal when interface switching is complete. 15-1-4 Switching to USB-HID from RS-232C Switch to USB-HID from RS-232C (with RS-232C interface cable attached). *In case of RS-232C model product, please arrange a USB cable before switching. Performing below operation without a USB cable, may cause the scanner to become inoperable. -

SC312 sounds a signal when interface switching is complete. *When the COM port on the host side is closed, scanned data cannot be send and the SC312 will make an error sound. 15-2 USB Interface Force quit start If the Status LED remains flashing and the SC312 is unable to read barcodes, use this recovery method. -
