Accumulation   of   foreign   substances   on   the   end   of   the   handheld   unit   may   result   in   defective  
generation   o f   u ltrasonic   w aves,   t hus   l eading   t o   o verheating.

When   i t   i s   n o   l onger   p ossible   t o   c ontinue   g eneration   o f   u ltrasonic   w ave   d uring   t he   c ourse   o f   c utting,  
remove   t he   b lade   f rom   t he   o bject   y ou   a re   c utting   o r   r emove   a ny   p ossible   s ubstance   f rom   t he   b lade.

Using  a  cloth  moisture  with  alcohol,  clean  the  components  of  the  cutter  by  wiping  the  horn  (metal  
portion  at  the  end  of  the  handheld  unit),  blade  locking  clamp,  slit  of  the  blade  locking  clamp  and  
the   h ole   i n   w hich   t he   b lade   l ocking   c lamp   i s   i nserted.

*   D o   n ot   a llow   t he   s lit   o f   t he   b lade   l ocking   c lamp   o r   h ole   f or   i nsertion   o f   t he   b lade   l ocking   c lamp   t o  
become   marked   or   contaminated   with   foreign   substances.   Also,   do   not   allow   other   portions   to  
become   m arked   o r   s cratched.   T he   p resence   o f   m arks   a nd   s cratches   c an   c ause   a bnormal   g eneration  
of   ultrasonic   wave   or   improper   blade   locking.   Always   contact   the   manufacturer   when   an  
abnormality   i s   s uspected.

TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE

 
Listed  below  are  some  self-­‐troubleshooting  steps  you  should  perform  when  there  are  problems  faced  with  
the   c utter.

An   a bnormal   n oise   i s   h eard   f rom   t he  
handheld   u nit   a nd   t he   c utter   i s   u nable  
to   c ut  
A   h igh   p itch   o f   r oughly   2 0,000Hz   t hat  
is   b arely   a udible   i s   p roduced   b y   t he  
cutter   d uring   n ormal   o peration  
 
 
-­‐   Is   t he   p ower   p lug   c onnected?  
-­‐   Check   the   power   source   (is   the   correct   voltage   being  
properly   s upplied   t o   t he   c utter?)  
 
-­‐   Is   t he   p ower   s witch   t urned   o n?  
-­‐   Is   t he   b lade   b roken   o r   b ent?  
-­‐   Are   f oreign   s ubstances   a dhered   t o   t he   b lade   o r   a t   t he   e nd   o f  
the   h andheld   u nit?  
-­‐   Is   t he   b lade   s ecurely   l ocked   i n   p osition?  
-­‐   Is   t he   b ade   l ocking   c lamp   d amaged?  
 
If   any   of   the   above   occurs,   replace   or   clean   the   blade,   blade  
locking   c lamp   o r   b lade   l ocking   s crew,   w hichever   i s   r elevant.  
 
When   ultrasonic   wave   generation   is   abnormal,   an   abnormal  
sound   w ill   b e   p roduced   t hat   i s   o f   a   l ower   p itch.    
 
During   cutting,   however,   abnormal   sounds   may   be   produced  
even   d uring   n ormal   o peration.
