    1.3 Dual Display Solution 1.3.1 VD Series VD-0000 series provides HDMI and DVI-I port for local display. Users can connect both of HDMI and DVI-I at the same time for video output. Scenario A: If both monitors are Full HD(1920x1080),those will be shown as Full HD.

    1.3.2 VD UHD / UHD+ Series VD-0000 UHD / UHD+ series provides 2 HDMI ports for local display. On Full HD display, users can connect two HDMI video outputs at the same time. Scenario A: If both monitors are Full HD (1920x1080), those will be shown as Full HD. Scenario B: If both monitors are XGA (1024x768), those will be shown all as XGA.

    2.2 Connect to Video Wall Station To begin, please insert the product CD-ROM in a PC to access the Quick Guide, User Manual and install the utilities. As user runs the product CD, the following menu is displayed. 2.2.1 Quick Guide Click “Quick Guide”...
  • Page 16 Click “Next” to continue installation. Read the license agreement and click “I accept the terms of the license agreement”. Click “Next” to continue installation. Select a location of destination and select a folder where the setup can install files. The default location is: C:\Program Files (x86)\NVR\EZ Search. Users can also install EZ Search in other folder by clicking “Change”...
  • Page 17 Once a folder is selected, please click “OK” to continue installation. The window shows that the Install Shield Wizard is installing video wall station Search. Please wait until the Wizard completes the installation.
  • Page 18 The InstallShield has successfully installed EZ Search. Select “Create Desktop Shortcut”/ “Create Quick Launch Shortcut”/ “Create Start Menu Shortcut” and please click “Next” to continue. Note: Users will be prompted to enter the login information of Station before being allowed to change the setting. When accessing the video wall station setting, users will be prompted to enter username and password.

    2.2.3 Install Upgrade Tool Click “Upgrade Tool” to upgrade several NVR to the latest firmware version. Please follow the instructions to install and Upgrade Tool will run automatically. When installing Upgrade Tool, Shield Wizard window for Upgrade Tool will pop up. Click “Next”...
  • Page 24 Read the license agreement and click “I accept the terms of the license agreement”. Click “Next” to continue installation. The window shows that the InstallShield Wizard is installing Upgrade Tool. Please wait until the Wizard completes the installation.
  • Page 25 The installation is completed. Please click “Launch application when done installing” to execute Upgrade Tool. And click “Finish”. After finishing the setup, the window of NVR Search will pop up. Upgrade Tool shows No., Device Name, Model Name, IP Address, Current Firmware and Password of the connected devices.

  • Page 29 After selecting the file, firmware file path will show. Please click “Upgrade” button. A window will pop up to make sure the execution . Please click “Yes” button. The window will show the upgrade process of each device.

    If the upgrading is not successful, the progress column will show the message. 2.2.4 User Manual Click “User Manual” to open the folder and double-click on user manual file to read. 2.2.5 Browse CD Click “Browse CD” to open the folder of current Autorun.exe file.

Connect to video wall station After setting the EZ Search users can connect to the web-based interface by the following two options: EZ Search or IE browser 1) EZ Search Once you click “Connect” or double click the selected video wall station list, the IE browser will pop up automatically.

    Quick Configuration After users log in system, the system will direct you to set Quick Configuration in four main steps. Follow the instructions of the Overview of wizard to complete system setup. 2.3.1 Start System will lead you to “Start” from the drop-down menu of Configuration Utility to begin.
  • Page 34 Users need to adjust the settings in the Network Setup page in order to let system work properly within network.  There are 2 methods to configure IP address 1. Obtain an IP address automatically (Default) Obtain an available dynamic IP address assigned by a DHCP server. If this option is selected, system will automatically obtain an available dynamic IP address from the DHCP server once it connects to the network.

    2. Specify an IP address. If there is no DHCP server existing in network environments, the static IP address will be given as192.168.1.245. It should be adaptable in most networking environment, and user can choose to maintain the default IP ddd address or change it in this page.

    Configure the time and date by verifying and adjusting current local time and daylight saving to avoid the following errors:  Inconsistent display time of event logs and when they actually occur. Please enter the hostname of a valid NTP server to synchronize the server time with an Internet time server.
  • Page 38 Detect: User can enter NVR or camera’s IP Address, username and password. Then, click “Apply” button to start adding device. After clicking “Apply” button, vender, username and password will be automatically filled in by vendor’s default information. Note: By enabling RTSP port, users can edit camera’s RTSP port number, especially when camera is set in the WAN.
  • Page 39 User can add cameras through NVR or directly add camera to station: (1) Add cameras through NVR After applying correct NVR information, user will be directed to “Add all” page. By clicking “Delete” button, user can delete the camera that you do not want to add to station.
  • Page 40 Note: Camera Name, Username and Password are editable. After clicking “Apply” button, vender, username and password will be automatically filled in by vendor’s default information. UPnP Search/ONVIF Search: Click “UPnP Search” to find out UPnP devices within the LAN. Please make sure IP camera supports UPnP Search function. Please go to IP Camera web page to enable UPnP search function.

User can add cameras through NVR or directly add camera to station: (1) Add cameras through NVR When selecting a NVR to add to station, a window will pop out to ask NVR password.

Then, Click “Add All” button to start adding cameras Note: Station will automatically fill in default username and password of each vendor.
  • Page 43 Note: ONVIF port may differ from HTTP port, which may cause the camera fail to add to station. You may click “Cancel” button to stop camera adding progress. Status column in camera list will display “Successful” when cameras are successfully added in the station.

Then, the default username and password of that vendor will be replaced by the modified one.     A window will pop up to ensure the action. To delete the camera, click “OK” to proceed. The camera has been deleted from camera list. 2.3.6 Finish Please select “Finish” from the drop-down menu of Configuration Utility to begin. Once 4 steps of Quick Configuration are completed, the window will show the completed status.
  • Page 49: Use Video Wall Station By Local Display

    3.1 Log in Station Users have to key in the correct username and password to login station. VD series supports two resolutions: 1920 x1080 and 1024x768. VD UHD series supports three resolutions: 3840 x 2160, 1920 x1080 and 1024x768. Note: If station detects that the monitor does not support 1920x1080 resolution, the resolution option in login page will show 1920x1080(*).

    1.1.1 Anonymous login Anonymous login allows users to login without username and password. Anonymous user can only view live monitoring on local monitor, however, the configuration page will be disable. While anonymous login is applied, system will automatically log in without authorization process after boot up. Start to setup the anonymous login A.

    1.1.2 Virtual Keyboard Users can choose to use USB keyboard for typing on local display, or fill out columns with virtual keyboard.     3.2.3 Right Click Functions on Video Window 1. Video Size: Original or Fit 2. Streaming change: (1) Exchange Streaming Station allows users to setup the dual streaming configurations in camera parameter page if cameras support dual stream. It is suggested stream 1 is set for higher resolution and stream 2 for lower resolution, which helps users to choose the proper streaming in live view with intuitive control.

When users select the display mode with more than 16ch, Station will automatically change to stream2 for smooth real time viewing experiences. Note: In 4K display mode, when users select the display mode with more than 9ch, NVR will automatically change to stream2 for smooth real time viewing experiences.

    3.2.4 Zooming with Mouse Scroll In addition to digital zoom in/out button, users can use mouse scroll to prevent potential crisis in live-view monitoring. Note: For PTZ cameras, zooming with mouse in live-view is adopted optical zoom in/out. If users would like to view more detailed image, please use zooming with mouse scroll first and then click digital zoom in/out button.

    3.3 Playback Video Well Station offers video playback from cameras that are connected via NVR. Users can have up to 5 channels simultaneous playback in below structures: Camera — NVR — Video Wall Station Camera — NVR — Streaming Server — Video Wall Station (NVR, Streaming Server and Video Wall Station need to be in the same LAN) 3.3.1 Steps to Playback Videos Users can easily search recorded videos by following playback steps.

    3.3.2 Description of Recording Types Normal Record (gray): Normal Record means there is no special conditions happened such as event, time overlap. It helps users to know at that time whether NVR has recorded videos or not. Event (red): Event means an event is triggered at that time, which helps users to efficiently find event recoded video.

    3.3.3 Main Functions of Playback 1. Display mode Station supports multi-channel simultaneous playback. You can see the recording time of each channel in the top of each grid.   • Page 73 6. Seek bar By moving seek bar, users can go to the specific recording time directly. Date and time are shown above seek bar to provide time reference. 7. Video export By clicking video export icon, users can easily export the key video after finding out the recorded video on Video Wall Station, and can review videos on remote PC (with NVRPlayer utility).

    Confirm the video’s start time, end time, and capacity. If the information is correct, please click “Yes”. Please wait for export processing. You may click “Cancel” button to stop exporting videos. After exporting file 100%, it will pop out a window to notice users about record export successfully.

    Chapter 4. Configuration In configuration page, users can configure Quick Configuration, IP Camera, Recording & Event, Network Management and System from each drop-down menu. Note: Station will automatically log out from configuration page after idle for 10 minutes. IP Camera 4.1.1 Camera Settings Please refer to Chapter2 - 2.3.5 Camera Settings.

Note: Camera adding through NVR cannot be edited its parameter. Please go to NVR’s configuration page to edit camera parameter. There are two parts in this section: Parameter and Camera List.

    Network Setup 4.2.1 Network Setup Please select “Network Setup” from the drop-down menu of Network to begin. This section explains how to configure network connection with station. Information Network information displays present network configuration including: Computer Name, IP address, Subnet mask, Default Gateway, Primary and Secondary DNS. Setup ①...

If this option is selected, system will automatically obtain an available dynamic IP address from the DHCP server when connecting to the LAN.  Static IP: If no DHCP server exists in the networking environment, t he IP address will be given as192.168.1.245.

    Note: Built-in DHCP server is available when LAN is specified an IP address (static IP). Note: Please do not connect to another device containing DHCP server function such as router when utilizing built-in DHCP server Port Setup Please set up transmission port to access station. Default port for station connection is 80.

    Management In Management, users can easily create, modify and change users' liveview and playback access. Also, users can read various log information through log system and quickly save or load configuration of station. 4.3.1 User Management Select “User Management” from the drop-down menu of Management to begin. Station can be accessed by multiple users simultaneously.

  • Page 84 (2) User Administrator can select a group from “Group” drop-down list to assign a new User. Please enter a username and password in “User List.” And select Live View Access for the new User. After User is created, user list will display the information as below.

The selected account will turn to blue and the page for modifying user will appear as below. You can change Live View Access. Please click “Apply” to proceed. After User is modified, user list will display the renewed information.

    4.3.2 Log System Please select “Log System” from the drop-down menu of Management to begin. Log system provides four types of log record basic information for troubleshooting, including Hardware Log, Event Log, Current User, Historical User Log, and File Access Log.     System 4.4.1 Device Information Please select “Device Information” from the drop-down menu of System to begin.  System Information System Information shows Product Model, Firmware Version, MAC Address, Operating System, OS Version, CPU, Network Adapter and Locate.
