INSTRUCTION MANUAL
1. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
Read the operating instructions cerfully and be familiar with the correct use of the tool. Keep instruction manual for further work and for another user. Follow
carefully safety instructions and warning signs.
1.1.1. USER
Children and teens under the age of 18 and persons who are not familiar whit instruction manual must not use the unit whit exception of apprentices older than 16
years under skilled supervision. Persons under influence of alcohol, drugs or medicine as well as persons who are not familiar whit instruction manual must not
use the tool.
1.1.2. PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT
To avoid any injury to head or extremities, as well as any damage to sense of hearing, it is necessary to wear recommended clothing and protective equipment.
The clothing must be close-fitting and must not limit your movement. If you have long hair, wear hairnet unconditionally.
Personal protective equipment includes:
- Protective helmet;
- Hearing defenders (e.g. protective earflaps);
- Protective glasses or face defender on the protective helmet;
- Protective trousers with protective filling in the crotch;
- Firm work gloves;
- Safety shoes non-slippery sole and steal shoe top.
1.1.3. WORKING AREA
There must not be any other persons in the operating area. Beware of children and animals. The user of the tool is responsible for any accidents caused to the
other persons or there property.
Remove all cut off parts and other objects – danger of stumble.
1.1.4. OPERATING TIME LINES
Observe operating time lines according to the low mowing regulations ( noise protection ) specific for all countries.
Always work whit the unit in daylight or in a good artificial light.
1.1.5. OPERATING
Operate the unit after its complete assembly. Before usage inspect tool `s appearance. The unit must be in safe working conditions. Parts which are cracked or
chipped must be immediately replaced. Use the tool only in the technical condition as authorized by the producer.
Do not remove safety and protective devices of the tool. Always keep the unit in safe condition.
The chain saw must not be used only by one hand. That can result in serious injuries to the operator and nearby persons. The chain saw is constructed only for
two-handed operation.
Before you start working, remove possible foreign objects from the cut object which will avoid kickbacks. Always hold the chain saw with two hands – hold the
rear handle with the right hand, the front handle with the left hand. Never use the tool above your shoulder level, because operating like that is not safe.
Use the chain saw only in well ventilated areas. Keep the handles clean, dry and free of oil or fuel mixtures.
Never carry the tool when the chain is not stopped. When transporting and carry your chain saw stop the engine and put on the bar cover.
Always carry the chain saw by the real handle with the muffler away from your body directed to the back.
During all maintenance works such as chain saw replacement or transport of the unit always stop the engine. When you do not use the chain saw, always cover it
with guide bar cover.
During the work wear gloves and keep your arms worm. Longer use of the tool can result Ranoult `s illness (white-finger-illness) for the operator. If any
symptoms should occur contact a doctor.
For woodcutting and cutting of branches you need rich experience – operate the unit only under the assistance of professionally skilled staff.

1.1.6. OPERATING MATERIALS – fuel / oil for saw chains
Fuel and oil for saw chains must be carried and stored only in containers which are allowed for this purpose and signed.
! Petrol is highly flammable!
Add fuel outside only. Do not smoke when fuelling!
Never open the fuel cap of the fuel tank, or add fuel while the engine is running or the unit is hot.
Use a funnel or a filling pipe for adding fuel to avoid the spilling of the fuel onto the engine the cover or the ground. If the fuel overflows the engine must not be
started. The unit must be cleaned. In no case the unit is allowed to be started until the petrol vapours disperse.
Before starting the chain saw move it at least 3m away from the fuelling point.
Exhaust pipe and parts close to it may be very hot – danger of burning.

Never leave the engine to work inside closed rooms – danger of intoxication.
For security reasons always replace the fuel tank and its cap when being damaged.
1.1.6.1. Oil for saw chain
To be lubricated the saw chain and guide bar always use ecological clean, quality, biologically degradable oil for saw chains, eventually oil for saw chains on the
basis of mineral oils (ISO VG 100).
! Do not use used oil. Used oil does not lubricate the chain sufficiently and besides it can harm the environment.
When working with chain saw, there can appear a kickback. This can be caused when the top ending of the guide bar touches the wood or any other firm object.
At this moment the chain saw stops to be controllable and it is kickback with high speed in the direction to the user, which can cause severe injury.
1.1.6.2. Danger of kickback
! Danger of kickback. The kickback can cause fatal injury.
If you want to avoid kickbacks, follow these instructions:
- Hold the chain saw firmly in both hands.
Start cutting when the unit is already running – cut only at the full speed.

- Do not cut using the top of the guide bar.
- Always watch the end of the guide bar.
- Never use the chain saw with stretched arms.
- Do not cut ladder or above the shoulder level.
- Be careful when going on with the started cut.
- Never work too much leaned to the front.
- Never cut too many brunches at the same time.
- Always work with the correctly sharpened and tight saw chain.
- Release the chain saw out of the cut only when the saw chain is running.
1.2. SAFETY SYMBOLS ON THE UNIT
WARNING –Be extremely careful.
Read the instruction manual.
Wear protective headpiece, protective glasses and ear defenders.
Wear protective gloves.
Angle about 20°, measured under norm ISO 9518
Beware of kickback!
Avoid bar nose contact with the cut object.
Danger of kickback!
Do not attempt to hold the saw with one hand only.
Recommended cutting procedures: Hold the saw with two hands.
