The device is maintenance-free, so please do not open up the gas detector. You will invalidate your warranty if you open up the device. Clean the outside of the gas detector with a soft, dry cloth or a brush. Do not use any cleaning products that contain carbonic acid, benzene, alcohol or similar substances.
