Exterity products. The manual assumes that readers are familiar with installing and configuring network-based products. Scope This edition of the manual refers to version 1.0.x of firmware for the AvediaStream c1110 Chassis Monitor. The relevant software and hardware information is shown on the General page of the AvediaStream web interface as shown in Figure 1.

AvediaStream c1110 Chassis Monitor V1.0 1 Getting Started The AvediaStream c1110 Chassis Monitor is designed to be installed in Slot 0 (the left side slot) in an Exterity AvediaStream c1110 Chassis. When installed and correctly configured it provides information about the chassis such as the power supply status, fan speed and chassis slot occupancy.

AvediaStream c1110 Chassis Monitor V1.0 ● Temporarily set up a DHCP server on an isolated network. Once an IP address is assigned to the Chassis Monitor, you can configure a static IP address using the Web Management Interface. For more information refer to Network Configuration on page 17.
AvediaStream c1110 Chassis Monitor V1.0 2 Physical Interfaces The AvediaStream c1110 Chassis Monitor operates in the AvediaStream c1110 chassis. The Chassis Monitor edge connector enables it to access network and admin ports via the chassis front panel. Caution: Take care not to touch the edge connector as static electricity might damage the product.
AvediaStream c1110 Chassis Monitor V1.0 AvediaStream c1110 Chassis Monitor Rear Panel Interface The AvediaStream c1110 Chassis Monitor LEDs provide visual indication of the status of the each of the ten chassis blade slots, five chassis fans, three power supplies, and the Chassis Monitor’s own two processors.
AvediaStream c1110 Chassis Monitor V1.0 3 Management Interfaces The Chassis Monitor has three management interfaces, as follows: ● Web Management Interface ● AvediaServer Director ● Admin Interface Web Management Interface You can manage every aspect of the Chassis Monitor operation using the Web Management Interface.

AvediaStream c1110 Chassis Monitor V1.0 AvediaServer Director The AvediaServer Director, as shown in Figure 7, is an application used for device discovery and management and is an integral part of the AvediaServer platform. The AvediaServer Director uses SNMP to manage a subset of device functionality and can also be used to start the Chassis Monitor web management interface.
