INTRODUCTION

Your new ultrasonic humidifier guarantees the right humidity level in the air, and gives immediate relief to the breathing apparatus of both children and adults. Breathing essentially aims at supplying the lungs with oxygenated air and at eliminating waste gases, like carbon dioxide.
To assure a good operation of the respiratory system it is important to remain as long as possible in healthy environments.
The humidifier will allow achieving the ideal conditions to sleep well in the night. It is well known, that sleep is an essential mechanism to allow our brain and body to work properly. It should be a restorative antidote against daily stress, as well as an occasion to let the brain rest and increase body vigor. To improve the quality of sleep it is important to try to relax taking a warm bath, listening to music or reading a book.
Prepare the bedroom in order to make it comfortable and quiet, not to hot and with the right level of air humidity to avoid nasal congestions or obstructions. Your humidifier with emission of cold steam is ideal for the bedroom, the room of the kids, the living-room or the office. The ultrasound technology makes it noiseless and allows a fine and prolonged atomization, which lasts about 7-8 hours. It is possible to adjust the steam flow according to onÈs needs.
It is equipped with operation warning lights, night lights and drawer for essence diffusion. Mains operation.

GENERAL WARNINGS

Using any electrical appliance entails compliance with a number of fundamental rules:

• Unplug the appliance from the mains straight after use and before commencing cleaning or inserting/removing accessories.
• Do not unplug by tugging on either power cord or appliance.
• If an electrical appliance falls into the water, do not attempt to retrieve it; instead, unplug immediately.
• Never immerse the appliance in water or other liquids.
• Never leave the appliance working unattended, and never allow it to be used by children, handicapped or disabled individuals.
• This appliance must be used solely for the purpose for which it was designed and in accordance with the operating instructions. Any other use shall be considered improper and hence hazardous.
  The manufacturer cannot be held responsible for any damage resulting from improper or incorrect use.
• Before using the appliance, make sure it is intact and does not feature any visible signs of damage. If in any doubt, do not use the appliance and contact your dealer.
• In the event of a fault and/or irregular operation, turn the appliance off at once without tampering with it. Always contact your dealer for repairs.
• Keep the appliance away from sources of heat.
• Make sure your hands are dry when unplugging or plugging in the appliance and when turning the function control knob.
• This appliance must only be used with the voltage given on the bottom of the product.
• Do not leave the humidifier exposed to the weather (rain, sun, etc.), high temperatures or near computers and other electronic instruments.
• To avoid dangerous overheating, the power lead must be completely pulled out.
• Unplug the humidifier from the power socket when it is not in use.

SPECIAL WARNINGS

• Do not plug the humidifier into the power socket until the full tank is correctly positioned on the base.
• Do not use the humidifier without water; only use cold tap water.
• Always turn the humidifier off and unplug it from the power socket before removing the water tank from the base.
• Place the humidifier on a flat, strong and waterproof surface, keep the power lead away from sources of heat.
• Do not cover or insert any objects in the opening of the humidifier (e.g. on the steam atomizer, on the device bottom, on the drawer for essence diffusion).
• Do not touch the transducer or the water in the tank while the device is operating.
• When water in the tank is completely evaporated, immediately switch off the device and disconnect the plug from the power outlet. Fill the tank again and proceed according to paragraph "Instructions for use".
• Do not pour water through the steam atomizer.
• Do not pour water directly into the device base.

Do not intervene for any reason whatsoever on the electric cable. In case of damage, refer to a dealer.

This is not a toy, but an ultrasound-humidifier for domestic use. Do not leave the device unattended also when it is not used.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

1. Do not turn on the device if the tank is not filled with water.
2. Unscrew the tank plug positioned under the tank itself, by rotating it counter-clockwise. Pour cold tap water into the tank (water quantity: about 1.3 litres); do not add essences, perfumes, medicines, or anything else into the tank.
3. Place the tank plug back by rotating it clockwise and verify that there are not any water leaks. After having filled the tank, keep the device always on a perfectly horizontal surface.
4. Place the tank in the proper seat over the humidifier base, assemble the orientable steam atomizer, then connect the adapter to the device and then to the power outlet paying attention to check that the voltage is right.
5. Turn on the device rotating the ON/OFF switch clockwise (the warning light switches on with green colour). After few seconds, the steam starts to come out from the suitable opening until the tank is completely empty (about 7-8 hours of operation). It is possible to adjust the intensity of the steam flow using the proper Min-Max steam flow regulator.
6. When water has fully evaporated, the steam stops coming out and the ON/OFF warning light becomes red. Immediately turn off the device by rotating the ON/OFF switch counter-clockwise till the "Click", disconnect the adapter from the device and then from the power outlet. Fill the tank again and restart the device as described above.
7. To turn on the night lights of the humidifier, with the device ON, press the O/I key positioned on the device base. 7 colours (purple, indigo, blue, green, yellow, orange and red) alternate automatically. It is possible to select the preferred colour so that the light remains fixed on a colour by pressing the O/I key when the selected colour is ON.
   To turn off the night lights press the O/I key repeatedly until the red light switches off (this is the last colour turning on).
8. Should you wish to use essences to spread them in the environment pour few drops of the selected essence (a couple of drops a day) on the sponge of the drawer for essence diffusion positioned on the side of the humidifier (see fig.1), close the drawer again and turn on the device by rotating the ON/OFF switch clockwise.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Before any cleaning or maintenance intervention, switch off the device, disconnect the adapter from the device and then from the power outlet.
Remove the orientable steam atomizer, lift the tank from the base, unscrew the tank plug and fully empty the remaining water. Rinse the tank with water. Do not use chemical or abrasive products.
Carefully dry the tank and the tank plug using a soft cloth.
Do not immerse the device base in water, clean with a damp cloth and dry carefully.
Pay utmost care when drying the device close to the floating sensor and transducer: they are very delicate parts and may be easily damaged. Never leave any water in the tank when the device is not used. It is advisable to clean the tank weekly with a solution of water with some vinegar, and let it immersed for about 20 minutes; then, empty it and rinse very well with water and carefully dry all various parts with a soft cloth.
To clean the transducer removing any deposits of limescale, use a cloth soaked in water (50%) and vinegar (50%); gently rub, and then, rinse with a soft cloth soaked only in water and dry it.
For the cleaning of the drawer for essence diffusion, which has to be done weekly, rinse it carefully under running water and let it dry completely before inserting it again in its seat in the humidifier.
At the end of the season of use of the humidifier, make sure that all various parts are completely dry. Let the tank plug slightly loose in order not to spoil the seal.
If the device is not used for long time, wash the drawer for essence diffusion and let them dry completely.

SPECIAL SITUATIONS

Should the following situations occur:

1. If the ON/OFF warning light does not switch on:
   • Verify that the adapter is properly connected to the power supply and to the device
   • Verify that the switch is rotated clockwise
2. There is no nebulising spray:
   • Check the water level
   • Check the humidifier is placed on a flat, strong surface;
   • Check there are no limescale deposits on the transducer;
   • Check the transducer is not damaged.
3. Condensation forms on the humidifier or the windows in the room:
   • The steam flow is too high for the size of the room or the level of humidity present. 4) Build up of limescale on the humidifier or walls:
   • Use demineralized water.

DISPOSAL PROCEDURE (Dir. 2012/19/Eu-WEEE)

The symbol on the bottom of the device indicates the separated collection of electric and electronic equipment.
At the end of life of the device, do not dispose it as mixed solid municipal waste, but dispose it referring to a specific collection centre located in your area or returning it to the distributor, when buying a new device of the same type to be used with the same functions.
If the appliance to be disposed of is less than 25 cm, it can be returned to a retail location that is over 400 m² without having to purchase a new, similar device.
This procedure of separated collection of electric and electronic devices is carried out forecasting a European environmental policy aiming at safeguarding, protecting and improving environment quality, as well as avoiding potential effects on human health due to the presence of hazardous substances in such equipment or to an improper use of the same or of parts of the same.
