BEFORE THE FIRST USE

Charge the headset

  • Use the USB cable to connect the headset to your computer.
  • Red light on: charging
  • Red light off: fully charged
  • Charge time will be about 2,5 hours.

USE

Pairing mode

Make sure the headset is switched off. Press and hold the multifunction key for about 5 seconds and release it until the indicator light flash red and blue light.

Switch on

Press and hold the multifunction key for about 3 seconds and release until the blue light flash.

Switch off

  • Press and hold the multifunction key for about 5 seconds until the headset switches off.
  • Note: in the pairing mode the headset is will automatically switch to the standby mode if no pair is made with any devices over 2 minutes.
  • Note: if no connection is made for 5 minutes the headset will automatically be switched off.

Pair with a cell phone

  • Make sure the distance between the headset and the cell phone is within 1 meter.
  • Make the headset enter into the pairing mode.
  • Activate the Bluetooth function on the cell phone and search for Bluetooth devices. Select "HP-164X" in the list.
  • After a successful connection, the blue light of the headset will flash twice every four seconds.

Pair with the computer

  • Make sure you use a computer with Bluetooth function.
  • Make the headset enter into the pairing mode.
  • Activate the Bluetooth option on the computer, select "add device" and select "HP-164X".
  • After a successful connection, the blue light of the headset will flash twice every four seconds.
  • Note: once paired, no pairing will be needed next time.
  • Note: a Bluetooth version lower than V2.1 will require for the password "0000"

Make and receive calls through the headset

  • Answering coming calls: press the multifunction key shortly
  • Refuse coming calls: Press and hold the multifunction key for 2 seconds.
  • Redial the last number: rapidly press the multifunction key twice.
  • End call: press the multifunction key shortly.
  • Call switching: press and hold the multifunction key for 2 seconds, and release it until hearing the warning tone.
  • Microphone mute: fast press the multifunction key twice during calling.
  • Cancel the mute: rapidly press the multifunction key twice when mute is activated.
  • Voice dial: press and hold the multifunction key for 2 seconds and release it until you hear the warning tone.
  • Note: some cell phones are not applicable for the functions listed above.

AUX IN

  • Connect an external audio source to the device by plugging it in the aux in jack.
  • Press the power button to turn on the device.
  • Use the native controls on the external audio source to start playing music.
