How to use CardiAid AED?
1
First, make sure you phoned emergency services or asked someone
else to call for you.
Open the cover of CardiAid and follow the instructions.
3
Remove clothing from chest and place electrodes on bare chest as
illustrated on electrode packaging. If necessary, use the scissors in
the emergency kit of CardiAid to cut the clothes.
Do not touch the patient from now on. CardiAid automatically starts
analysing heart rhythm when the electrodes are connected.
5
CardiAid will inform you if electroshock is necessary or not.
If necessary, it prepares the shock automatically.
Press the shock button when instructed. Before pressing the button, make sure
the patient is not touched or moved. In the full-automatic version, the device
warns the user and delivers the electroshock automatically.
7
CardiAid will continue to guide you through CPR.
According to the instructions, make 30 chest compressions and
give 2 mouth-to-mouth breaths.
Continue CPR until you hear "Do not touch the patient from now on."
9
Do not detach the electrodes and keep following CardiAid's instructions
until professional help arrives.
Check the status of the device before use:
The device is ready for use if the green "OK Symbol" is flashing.
Important notice: This quick reference card does not replace the CardiAid manual.
CardiAid will analyse the heart rhythm again and
deliver another shock if needed.
