    Virtual AIS Beacon Firmware Upgrades To upgrade the VAB1252 firmware use Vesper Marine’s ‘Status & Firmware Update’ tool. The connection process is the same as described above for the Beacon Configuration software. Connect the device to a PC using the DB9 plug or Ethernet, and select the appropriate com port (or IP address and com port for Ethernet enabled devices) and press connect.
