Geonics EM61-LX2 The EM61-LX2 instrument with associated cables. The EM61LX2 program for Archer and Allegro MX is stored on DAT61LX2 CD disk. All neces- sary initial files (with extension names .INI) as well as data folder (DATA61LX2) are created in your field computer after the program is run for the first time.

Folders for data files should be created in Storage folder. The program creates folder My Documents/ DATA61LX2 which is the default folder for EM61LX2 files. For more information about data storage options, refer to the Archer2 user manual. 1.3 Data Files Transfer Data files are saved in the Allegro with extension L61.

    5. Alarms Setup There are two types of alarms (not counting the third: Disabled) in the EM61LX2 program. The Simple Alarm is triggered whenever the indicated amplitude level is exceeded. The Enhanced Alarm contains numerous parameters that describe minimum and maximum levels, width of anomaly, number of descending points, and other parameters described below.
  • Page 26 Parameters described below can be selected only when the Enhanced Alarm is selected. When En- hanced Alarm is selected conditions for all set parameters must be reached to trigger alarm.
