Instructions on how to transfer a user into the Caspian shower chair Placing the user in the Baltic shower chair: Bring the Baltic shower chair as close to the user as possible and lock the casters. For lateral transfers, raise an armrest for easier access to the seat. Assist the user into the Baltic by gently placing them onto the seat. Be sure both armrests are level for user safety and comfort. Bring the chest safety belt around the front of the user and fasten for added security. The casters can now be unlocked for transport into a shower room or designated bath area. Removing the user from the Baltic shower chair: Make sure the casters are locked before assisting a user out of the Baltic shower chair. Raise one armrest, should you perform a lateral transfer. Instruct the user to place their foot on the floor. Unbuckle the chest strap. Gently assist the user out of the Baltic shower chair to the desired location. Store the Baltic to its designated storage area and lock the casters during storage. Cleaning Instructions: The Baltic shower chair is very durable and easy to clean. The shower seat can be disinfected by spraying it with any standard non‐abrasive hospital grade hard surface disinfectant. Gently wipe the disinfectant into the surface using a soft towel or cloth and let sit for 10 minutes. Then rinse the shower seat to make sure all disinfectant has been removed.
