De-Soldering IC’s • Attach the most suitably sized nozzle for the size of the IC to the tool. • Adjust the temperature to the required setting and wait a few seconds for the actual temperature to be reached. • Use only one hand to hold the hot air tool and one to hold a suitable pick-up wire tool.
TROUBLESHOOTING • Tip heats intermittently - Mains cord damaged or a loose connection. • Tip will not reach set temperature - Defective heating element • Solder will not wet the tip - Tip temperature is too high. Tip is badly oxidized and requires cleaning.
