Wall Mounting
In order to attain the PIR motion detector's max. detection range of approximately 7 m, the wall
support should be mounted at a height of 1.5 m - 2.5 m. Should the supplied screws and plugs
not be suitable for your wall, please use others. Bolt the wall mount to the wall. Then fasten the
Animal Repeller to the wall mount.
Ground spike
The ground spike consists of three parts. First, plug the spike together.
Chose an appropriate spot for the device, e.g. the lawn or a flower bed. Drive the ground spike
tip forward into the soil. The ground spike may only be pushed into the soil by hand. Do not
hit on the ground spike using a hard object in order to drive it into the ground. In hard soils,
it might be necessary to make a suitable hole first, e.g., by driving a wooden stake into the
ground. Tread down the soil surrounding the device. Next, bolt the Animal Repeller onto the
ground spike.
The max. PIR range of 7 m is not feasible with the ground spike installation.
Align the PIR motion detector's pitch to the range of detection, before you tighten the
plastic cap nut.
The range of the PIR motion sensor is max. 7 m with a detection angle of 110°. In
this range there should be no tree limbs or similar to ensure good detection of the
animals.
It is sufficient to tighten the plastic cap nut by hand. Do not use any force when
screwing tight! Do not use any tools; this will damage the product!

Operation

There is a slide switch on the bottom of the unit which lets you choose between the following
operating modes:
ON1
The ultrasonic generator and the LED flash are activated as soon as the PIR sensor
has sensed an object in the range of detection.
ON2
The ultrasonic generator is activated as soon as the PIR sensor has sensed an
object in the range of detection.
As long as motion / heat changes are recognized in the range of detection, the
ultrasonic generator/LED flash remains enabled.
The ultrasonic generator/LED flash turns off automatically after about 20 seconds
when no more motion/heat changes in the range of detection are registered.
"OFF"
The Animal Repeller is switched off.

Maintenance

The product does not require any maintenance. You should never take it apart. The outside of
the product should be cleaned only with a clean, soft, dry cloth. Never use aggressive cleaning
agents or chemical solutions since these might damage the housing or impair the operation. Do
not apply too much pressure on the PIR motion detector while cleaning!
Disposal
a) Product
Electronic devices are recyclable waste materials and must not be disposed of in the
household waste!
Please dispose of the product, when it is no longer of use, according to the current
statutory requirements.
Remove any inserted battery and dispose of it separately from the product.
b) Single-use and rechargeable batteries
As the end user, you are required by law (Battery Regulation) to return used batteries and
rechargeable batteries. Do not dispose of used batteries in the household waste!
Batteries/rechargeable batteries are labelled with the symbol shown indicating that
disposal in the household waste is forbidden. The symbols of the relevant heavy
metals are: Cd=cadmium, Hg=mercury, Pb=lead (marking can be seen on the bat-
tery/rechargeable battery, e.g., underneath the refuse bin symbol shown on the left).
You can return your used batteries/rechargeable batteries free of charge at the official col-
lection points of your community, in our stores, or at places where batteries or rechargeable
batteries are sold!
You thereby fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.
