Thank you for buying a VECTOR floor
care appliance. Preserve the value of
the appliance by correct use.

Safety information

Please read the instructions carefully as they contain
directions on the safe and correct handling of the
appliance. The manufacturer cannot be made liable
for damage if these instructions are ignored. Retain
the instructions and pass them on to the next owner.
• Use the appliance only for its intended purpose.
• Never leave the appliance unattended while
switched on and ensure that children do not play
with the appliance.
• This appliance can be used by
children who are over 8 and
by those with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities
or lacking experience and/or
knowledge given that they have
been supervised or instructed in
the safe use of the appliance and
have understood the resulting
dangers. Children must not play
with the appliance. Cleaning and
user maintenance must not
be undertaken by children who
are not subject to supervision.
• Keep hoses and pipes well away from your head
when the appliance is switched on, otherwise there
is particular danger to eyes and ears.
• The appliance is not suitable for use with health-
impairing materials caustic materials or solvents.
• Do not use the appliance in rooms which are used
to store inflammable materials or where gases
have accumulated.
• Substances such as petrol, paint thinner and fuel oil
can combine with the suction air to create explosive
gases or vapours.
• Never vacuum hot ash or smouldering materials.
• Acetone, acids and solvents can attack the
materials used in the construction of the appliance.
• Special precautions must be taken when cleaning
stairways. Always ensure that the appliance is in
a stable position. The hose must not be extended
beyond its normal length. Always secure the
appliance with one hand.

• Always connect the appliance to a 230V power
socket with protective earth (fused to at least 16
A; UK: 240 V ~, 13 A). Never connect to branch
sockets or adapters.
• The appliance must not be used when: the power
cable is damaged, the appliance is visibly damaged,
the motor assembly has suffered an impact.
• Always disconnect from the mains supply: if
malfunctions occur during use, before cleaning or
care, after use, when replacing the filter.
• Never unplug by pulling on the cable, always
grasp the plug.
• Ensure that the power cable is never exposed to
heat or chemical fluids and is never drawn over
sharp edges or surfaces.
• Never use extension leads in damp rooms.
• Never repair damage to the VECTOR POWER
EDITION, the accessories or the power cable
(special cable required) yourself. Always employ an
authorised customer service specialist for repairs.
Changes to the appliance can endanger your
health. Ensure that only original spare parts and
accessories are used.
• Replace the filter at regular intervals. Disconnect
from the mains before replacing the filter.
• Empty and clean the container immediately after
wet vacuum cleaning.
• Cut off the power cable before disposing of the
appliance at the end of its service life.

Using the appliance

The VECTOR POWER EDITION is a multi-purpose ap-
pliance.
• It is suitable for use in living areas, hobby rooms,
cellars, workshops, garages and in yards -
anywhere where dirt can accumulate.
• Fluids (water-based) can be vacuumed from the
floor or extracted from containers.
• It is also suitable to remove blockages in drains
and other outlets with the aid of the siphon nozzle
(optional).

General preparation

Assembly of the appliance
Unpack the appliance, remove all packaging material
and identify the individual parts. For packaging rea-
sons, the castors are packed separately and must be
fitted to the appliance before use.
Fitting the castors
Open the fastening clip and lift off the motor assem-
bly. Remove the accessories. Insert the pins in the bot-
tom of the container and press on the castors to their
fullest extent. Place the container on the castors and
check the correct function.
