    Chapter 4 4.1 TV@nywhere-Plus Setup Utilities The TV @nywhere package comes with complete Windows software utilities. These utilities can be found from the CD-ROM in this package. Before installation, it is highly recommended that all background programs are disabled. These include such applications as anti-virus software and system monitoring applications.
  • Page 23 4. Then the utilities will help you install the TV card driver automatically. Please click “Next” to install TV@Anywhere-Plus. 5. When you see the message as left, that means all of your drivers has been installed and it will start launch TV Setup and initialize TV settings.

    Chapter 4 4.2 TV@nywhere-Plus Software Installation TV@Anywhere-Plus installation CD comes with complete W indows software utilities. These utilities can be found from the CD-ROM in this package. Before installation, it is highly recommended that all background programs are disabled. These include such applications as anti-virus software and system monitoring applications.
  • Page 25 Setup will add program icons to the Program Folder listed below. You may type a new folder name, or select one from the existing folders list. After you c lick “Next”, the installshield wizard will start copy files to your destination folders. It may take a few minutes, please wait a moment.

    Chapter 4 4.3 Using TV@nywhere-Plus After you finish the installation of Digital @nywhere application, you can start to use the application to watch free-to-air digital terrestrial TV on your system. (Note that to have the best capability of your system, please install the Microsoft DirectX 9.0 before you use Digital @nywhere.)When you start to use the Digital @nywhere, you can select one of the functions as below.

    4.4 Using TVR TVR is a powerful and easy-to-use TV application provides the most feature- rich video/audio entertainment. TVR provides a convenient way to watch and record TV or video on your personal computer and also allows you to play recorded TV or video.

    Chapter 4 3. If you use the “Use free scan” to scan all of your TV channels, you would see the message window as left. The program will depends on the step size to scan all of the TV frequency step by step. It may takes for a while, please wait a moment.
  • Page 29 Information W indow Display current time, state (Live, REC, Playback, Time Shifting), TV sound state (Mono, Stereo or SAP), recording file size, recording time, time control bar ,minimize ,maximize and help file. Basic Tool Part It has eight buttons, see following descriptions. Channel Adjust Part You can do channel selecting by click number key or keyboard when video source is set to Antenna, Cable or Memory.

Record Function At Live mode, then you can start recording current live video by click capture button on control panel or choice you are in capturing, click “Stop” on popup menu to stop current recording. You can review your recorded files in the playback list after recording.

    3. TimeShifting Function At Live mode, you can do time shifting by click control panel or choice time-shifting mode, you need to wait for at least 4 seconds start playing by click “Play” on popup menu. Once you want to stop time shifting, click stop button on control panel or choice stop it.
  • Page 32 Chapter 4 Time option - Current time: Show the current time. - Starting time: Enter the date and time when you want to start recording the files. - Duration: Enter the length you want to record the program. - Recording rule: Enter the recording rule you want to use. The default value is “Once only”.

    Chapter 4 4.4.5 Setup Utility TV Tuner Setup The TV Tuner setup property page, allows you to customize and configure your TV channels or edit your favorite memory channel. You can do automatically scan your cable or antenna signal for available channels or you can label and identify your favorite channels, as well as include or exclude channels from the channel list.

    Software Instal lati on 4.4.6 Channel Preview You can do channel surfing by clicking on control panel or choose “Channel Preview” from the pop-up menu. While channel surfing, you can select every channel sub-window by 4 arrow keys (left, right, up, down) or directly mouse click.

    Chapter 4 4.4.9 Audio Output Mode If your product model support Multilanguage function, you can click the icon to select different audio output mode. For example, you can setting your audio output mode as Stereo, Mono or SAP. 4.4.10 FM function FM is a powerful application provides you listen and record FM radio.

    Chapter 4 4.4.11 Pop-Up Menu Any time while running TVR, you can put the cursor on the display window or control panel and right-click to see a pop-up text menu. This menu will also appear when you press the right-click menu are the same as those on the TVR control panel, along with some extra options added.

    Chapter 4 4.5 MPEG Encoder 4.5.1 Interface Explanation The default page is composed of four parts: Header Buttons Add input files; Delete files; Edit options; Start and Stop transcoding. Batch Process Display W indow Displays file name, encoding status, screen size and play time of files to be transcoded.
