All packaging materials, such as tape, plastic sheets, wire ties and tags are not part of this product and should be discarded.

Precautions of use

  • Keep a minimum distance around the device for sufficient ventilation;
  • The ventilation should not be impeded by covering the ventilation openings with items, such as newspapers, table-cloths, curtains, etc.;
  • No naked flame sources, such as lighted candles, should be placed on the apparatus;
  • Use the apparatus in tropical and/or moderate climates.
  • Batteries should be disposed properly. Take them to the collection container in order to protect the environment.

ON/OFF
Turning on
Press and hold the power button until the screen turns on.

Turning off
Press and hold the power button for 2 seconds. Press "Power off" to turn off the device

Reboot
Press and hold the power button for 2 seconds. Press "Reboot" to restart the device. device.

Sleep
Short press the power button to put the device to sleep or come out of sleep mode.

VOLUME CONTROL
Press the volume button to lower (-) or increase (+) the volume level.

BACK SPEAKER SYSTEM
Built-in speaker on the rear so that the other person can hear the translation.

2" TOUCH SCREEN
Swipe left/right, up/down or tap to select.

HOME BUTTON
Short press to get back to the previous screen.

MOTHER LANGUAGE
Press and hold this button to speak your language.

RECORD FUNCTION
Short press to record yourself (only in the record function) or to come out of the record function) or to come out of sleep mode.

DUAL MICROPHONE SYSTEM
Mic 2

TARGET LANGUAGE
Press and hold this button to let the Representative speak or speak and reverse the translation.

Note: Languages and data are continuously improved and added to the database. Updates are delivered over the air directly to your device to provide more languages and translations.

POWER SOURCES

Please charge the battery before using your Interpretor® for the first time or when the battery is low. Insert one end of the micro USB charging cable (included) into the USB port and the other end to a powered computer or a USB adapter (not included) connected to a power outlet.

  • Risk of explosion if battery is incorrectly replaced. Please only replace it with a same or equivalent battery (Instructions for repair service only; battery is not intended to be replaced by the user).
  • The battery should not be exposed to high temperatures, such as sunlight, fire or anything similar.
  • Significant electromagnetic interference or electrostatic discharges may cause the device to malfunction or lose data. If the device is not functioning correctly, switch it off and then on again, or unplug the USB cable.

Select the Settings mode in the menu to control the parameters. The following settings are available:

  2. Mode (Auto / operation)

  4. Languages: Arabic, Chinese, Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish.

TRANSLATE MODE


Translation is possible online through Wi-Fi as well as offline (Offline translation in 7 languages: French, English, German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and Chinese).

  1. In the top bar, select the source language (on the left) and target language (on the right).
  2. Mother language: Press and hold the Mother language button. Talk when the mic icon appears on the screen. Release the button when you are done talking. The device displays the written translation on the screen simultaneously. To listen to the audio translation again, press the translation on the screen. Press on the translation for 2 seconds to show the different options: you can save the translation as favorites, delete the translation or clear all translation history.
  3. Proceed the same way for the Target language.

CONFERENCE MODE

NOTE: A minimum of 2 devices (in online mode) are required for the conference mode.

Creating a conference

  1. From Home screen, select the « Conference » mode. The device will generate a code to share with the other participants.
  2. To create a new conference, press create and input the code of the other members in the user field. The device will generate a new conversation.

Settings of the conference


Once the conference is created, press the 3 points on the upper right of the screen to open the settings.

Note:

  • Only the administrator can lock the group, remove participants or change the Administrator.
  • Participants can back up the conversation or leave the group.

Group conversation


Press and hold the "Mother language" button and start talking. Interpretor® will translate your words and send the voice translation to the connected devices into the languages set by the representatives. The representatives will hear the voice translation and see the written translation on the screen.
Use the earphones jack to keep your conversations private!
