Description of the EM38

The EM38 thermostat is intended to regulate indoor temperature with one operation mode - heating. The thermostat is suitable for all types of heating, except electric floor heating. The preferred temperature is set using the rotary knob.

Description of the EM39

The EM39 thermostat is intended to regulate indoor temperature with two operation modes - heating and cooling. The thermostat is suitable for all types of heating, except electric floor heating. Switch between cooling and heating operation mode by flipping the switch. The preferred temperature is set using the rotary knob.

Installation

The thermostat must be installed in combination with a TEM Modul mount and cover plate. See figures 3 and 4 for the thermostat's size and installation method.

Installation warning

The installation site should be on the interior walls of the building, approximately 1.5 m above the ground. For proper operation, we recommend installation in a stand-alone box, separate from sources of heat and draft.

Connection

Installation and connection may only be performed by a suitably qualified person. All applicable regulations must be followed when connecting. Carry out the electrical connection of the thermostat in accordance with the wiring diagrams for the type of thermostat, figure 2.

Always install the thermostat when the fuses are disconnected or the phase conductors are de-energised!

Use of the thermostat

Use the rotary knob to set the preferred temperature in the +5°C to +30°C range (for EM38 and EM39). With the EM39, the switch is used to flip between heating and cooling modes.
