TF 4 controller is an external controller equipped with IR transmitter that enables to widen standard features of SONNENKÖNIG heating elements with remote control interface due to SONNENKÖNIG-IR. Build-in temperature sensor enables control and regulation of ambient temperature and modern construction guaranties easy installation and use. Controller has advanced regulation algorithm that suits power of heating to current needs.
ATTENTION: Please read paragraph -> Installation and configuration before first use.
TF4 external controller has LCD display (picture 1) and 3 keys for operation and configuration (MODE, +, -).
User can define 2 levels of ambient temperature: COMFORT and ECONOMY. Each of this level can be set with accuracy up to 0,5°C. Symbols and
are to ease remembering which temperature is higher and which is lower. Both of them can be set according to own needs and used during the day and night. These can be modified in any moment of work.
Available working modes:
Manual Mode: ser changes manually settings of the controller.
Automatic mode : Controller automatically – according to program - changes settings between
or

Drying mode – ON: heater is switched on with full power for the time set by user.
ANTIFREEZE – : prevents heating liquid from freezing when temperature falls below set point.
ATTENTION: This is for default configuration, when display shows ambient temperature. To change controller configuration read paragraph Advanced functions.
This mode is for manual setting of temperature. You can define two temperature levels and record them in controller's memory as COMFORT and ECO settings. To set COMFORT:
In this mode thermostat displays current set-point temperature until its change (or mode's change). To change temperature press + or -. All modification made in COMFORT and ECO settings will be recorded in controller's memory and later will be used in AUTOMATIC MODE.
Choose ON symbol by pressing MODE key (other icons off). Display shows time to finish of DRYING mode. By pressing + and – set time from 15 min. to 4h. After having finished drying time controller switches to automatic mode.
Enables switching the heater on and off and working with COMFORT and ECO settings according to programmed schedule. Automatic mode has 96 cells of memory, every single one covers time period of 15 minutes. For every 15 min user can set one of the three settings: ,

. The COMFORT and ECO temperatures have to be set in Manual Mode before the AUTO Mode starts. If user during AUTO mode changes manually temperature settings (buttons +/-) new setting will occur for 2 hours and then controller gets back to previous AUTO mode. Default settings of AUTO mode shows pic. 2.
To modify AUTO permanently:
Protects the radiator of damages caused by freezing liquid (minimal temperature is 5°C). User has a possibility to change minimal temperature from 5°C to 15°C (buttons + and -). In antifreeze mode heating elements will stay in OFF position until temperature will drop under the limit. To set up ANTIFREEZE mode press MODE button until appears.
To turn off heating element press MODE button until symbol appears. It is possible to turn off heating element by turning on ANTIFREEZE mode.
Optimal place for placing the device is:

TF 4 transmitter emits special control communicate when:
Heater-receiver that is placed within controller's reach and is working in the remote mode confirms every correctly received signal from on its steering panel (details are available in heater's steering panel manual).
To set time:
With default setting controller displays current ambient temperature. Pressing + or – enables to display set temperature for 5 seconds. It is possible to set controller to show set temperature or current time while normal work (user can see other information's by pressing + or – button).
To modify permanently the way the information is displayed:
If displayed temperature is different from actual one use calibration (correction) of temperature sensor (regulation within +/-5°C, accuracy 0,1°C).
With TF 4 remote controlled devices user is able to use more than one pair of transmitter and receiver in the same room. Devices that should cooperate with each other have to be set at the same communication channel (default setting is 0). To change/set channel of communication in TF 4 controller:
TF 4 controller signalizes with icon discharge of batteries. In this mode, LCD light is not active and works one month more until full discharge.
Attention: do not leave discharged batteries inside the device, as it can damage the device and cause in losing warranty.
Warranty
The Products are controlled just before delivery. If despite a lack of your product, try trustfully your seller. Please bring your receipt, as this is to be submitted for each warranty. The guarantee period is 24 months from date of purchase.
Disposal
The device must be disposed of properly. The device can be distributed free of charge for disposal at each dealer.

This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
Please make sure to place the device on a suitable and waterproof surfaces, so that spilled liquids can not cause harm.
