OPERATING IN PUBLIC AREAS When operating in publicly accessible areas, such as at roadside, the residence of others in the area must be considered. Stop the machine immediately when e.g., pedestrians, cyclists, riders, etc. are approaching the safety zone. Only resume work when these are at a safe distance again. When using the machine on public areas, the applicable traffic laws must be complied with at all events.

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR OPTIMAL SAFETY AND OPERATION Always be aware of the following risks when using the machine! To achieve optimal safety and operation, it is important that the operator understands how dangerous the machine is and anticipates the danger before it occurs: You may get stuck when the machine is engaged or disconnected and when the tool carrier is moved out or in, up or down and forward or back! The machine can tip over when the tool carrier is raised!

NECCESARY PROTECTIVE MEASURES The machine must be used in the following ways: Make sure that the operator of the machine has read this instruction manual, as well as instruction manuals for the tool carrier and used vehicle. Make sure that the operator of the machine has been instructed in the use of the machine. Wear hearing protection if the machine is operated from a cabin that is not soundproof or if the cabin windows are open.

WARNINGS ON HOW NOT TO USE THE MACHINE Do not use the machine in the following ways! Do not operate the machine until the relevant instruction manuals have been read and understood! The operator must also be familiar with the operating handles according to the instruction manual for the connected tool carrier! Do not operate the machine if there are others within machine safety distances! Do not allow an inexperienced person to operate the machine unattended!
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR MAINTENANCE, ADJUSTMENT, AND INSPECTION The machine must be maintained in the following ways: The operator must ensure that all maintenance, inspection, and installation work is carried out by authorized and qualified professionals who, after reading the relevant instruction manuals, are in possession of sufficient knowledge.
GreenTec Multi Carrier HXF 2302 – 2802, as well as the GreenTec FOX Multi Carrier. The RI 60 & 80 barrier mower is the perfect attachment tool for cutting under fence wire, fences at paddocks, car protection or for cutting close around trees in orchards.

GreenTec RI barrier mowers is optionally selected as either right- or left-hand models. The RI barrier mower, fitted with a GreenTec multi carrier, can easily navigate both vehicle and machine on smaller areas, such as cycle paths, gardens and parks. At the same time, the machine is particularly suitable for contractors and farmers on large green areas.
INTENDED USE OF THE MACHINE For any use of the machine other than that described in this section, GreenTec is not liable for damages as a result. The risk then rests solely with the operator. The machine is primarily used with a suitable multi carrier for edge trimming under fencing wire, fences at horse pens, guardrails etc.

With the RI barrier mower, 2.0 meters of hydraulic hose routing is always included, which ensures easy use when assembly, connection and use of the attachment tool. NOISE MEASUREMENT OF AIRBORNE NOISE Noise measurements were carried out on the machine under normal operating conditions at GreenTec A/S in Denmark, with a Delta OHM sound meter - type HD 8701. Measurements were carried out 1 meter from attachment tool / multi carrier’s critical noise generators at a height of 1.50 meters from the ground, without starting or using the tool.

5.2.3 MOUNTING RI BARRIER MOWER ON MULTI CARRIER The procedure may differ from vehicle to vehicle. Therefore, always use the instructions of the vehicle used and combine them with both the RI barrier mower and the multi carrier instructions and directions used. In this instruction manual, it is shown and explained how the RI barrier mower is mounted on a FOX multi carrier using a smaller tractor with a front loader.

5.2.5 STABILITY When driving GreenTec's machines, the operator must always be aware that the machine's center of gravity shifts during work After assembly and connection for the first time, it must always be ensured that the complete vehicle is stable enough to be able to carry the multi carrier with the attachment tool mounted.

3. Is the vehicle stable when turning and driving around - also on uneven terrain? 4. Assessment is made in each individual situation, and it is the full responsibility of the users and operators to ensure that the vehicle does not overturn or tip over. If the vehicle and multi carrier are stable, the attachment can be moved around step-by-step.
5.4.1 TRAINING OF THE MACHINE OPERATOR BEFORE USE The RI barrier mower may only be used fitted with approved GreenTec multi carriers, and on an approved vehicle as a single unit. The operator of the vehicle, multi carrier and attachment tool must therefore both review and understand this instruction manual as well as the instruction manuals for the multi carrier and the vehicle used, before putting the machine into use.

The attachment tool must not cover the lighting of either the vehicle or the multi carrier. Additional lighting should be installed here. The accompanying safety devices must always be fitted when transporting all types of GreenTec attachment tools on the vehicle. (Safety shielding, locking mechanisms, etc.)

5.4.4 OPERATING AND DRIVING INSTRUCTIONS (SHOWN W/ FOX MULTI CARRIER) The RI barrier mower must always be operated in the most appropriate way so that the best possible result is achieved during use. It is important that the operator learns all the functions of both the vehicle, multi carrier and attachment tool, as it is a combination of these that must control the overall result for e.g.

4. The direction of travel with the RI barrier mower must be forward and follow the line of the "fence": Collision protection on the RI barrier mower is only activated in the forward direction. When mounting the multi carrier and RI barrier on the back of a vehicle, it must be ensured that the RI barrier mower is turned so that the collision protection is activated in the opposite direction to the direction of travel.

5.4.8 START-UP AFTER UNINTENDED / ACCIDENTAL STOPPAGE OF OPERATION In the event of an accidental stoppage of the multi carrier and/or attachment tool, always follow the instructions given in the machine's instruction manuals. (Both multi carrier and attachment tool!) An unintended stoppage of operation can occur at any time. 6 MONTH INSPECTION OF THE MACHINE General review of machinery: cleaning and maintenance/lubrication so that general maintenance is minimized. (Section 6.7 – page 52) Carefully check the condition of all hoses. Pay attention that they do not rub against edges, flanges, bolts and the like. The stocking is correctly fitted so that the hoses are always protected as best as possible.

TIGHTENING TORQUES OF BOLTS AND HYDRAULIC CONNECTIONS 6.3.1 TIGHTENING TORQUES: BOLTS All bolts and nuts on the machine are provided with quality grade marking, ordinary machine steel bolts have quality grade 8.8: bolts marked with 8.8, and nuts marked with 8. Hardened steel bolts may be marked 10.9 or 12.9: bolts marked 10.9 or 12.9, and nuts marked 10 or 12.
Hoses with damage/defects must be replaced immediately. GreenTec's hydraulic systems work at a very high pressure. (From 250 bar up to 320 bar) Therefore, use only original hoses and spare parts for these. A burst hose can be very dangerous.
If they show signs of wear, they must be replaced. All bushings, rivets and bearings etc. can be delivered from GreenTec's spare parts warehouse. The correct spare parts for your GreenTec machine can always be found in the machine's parts book which can always be downloaded and/or printed for personal use on our website: www.greentec.eu.
