MATERIALS LIST:

1 - Eyebolt 1/2-13 x 6"
1 - 1/2" Flat Washer (use only when replacing eyebolt on item #7000, Custom Support Structure)
1 - 1/2-13 Lock Nut

TO REMOVE WORN EYEBOLT:

Insert a large screwdriver through the "eye" of the eyebolt to
keep it from turning while you loosen the nut using a 3/4"
wrench. Remove the eyebolt and discard along with the old lock
nut and washer.

TO INSTALL NEW EYEBOLT:

Insert the new eyebolt into the beam from the bottom to the top.
Put the 1/2" washer on the bolt. Start the 1/2" lock nut on the
bolt. Insert the screwdriver through the "eye" of the eyebolt to
keep it from turning while you tighten the nut. When the nut is
almost tight, turn the screwdriver to properly align the eyebolt
and tighten the nut securely.

INSTALLATION

Have an assistant push the eyebolt through the ceiling and into the bottom hole of the bracket. Put two 1/2" non-
locking nuts, one 1/2" flat washer, and the leveling wedge on the eyebolt. Screw the nuts down to within 1/4" of the
end of the threads. Push the eyebolt up through the top hole of the bracket until the leveling wedge hits the
underside of the top flange of the bracket. Make sure the "fat" end of the wedge is facing the open side of the
channel (see diagram).
the eyebolt is flush against the bracket. WARNING: Leaving a gap between the "eye" of the eye-
bolt and the bracket could cause the eyebolt to break resulting in serious injury.
While one person holds the eyebolt to keep it from turning, put a 1/2" flat washer and a non-locking 1/2" nut on the
eyebolt. Hold the upper non-locking nut below the flange of the bracket with one wrench, while tightening the non-
locking nut on top. These nuts must be tight enough so that there is no rotational movement of the eyebolt.
Use the new 1/2" self-locking nut on the eyebolt and screw it down against the non-locking nut. Note: The self-
locking nuts will only start onto the bolt from one side. You will have to use a wrench to turn and tighten this nut.
Hold the non-locking nut with one wrench while tightening the self-locking nut against it. Do the same thing with the
two nuts on the inside of the flange. Hold the top nut with one wrench while tightening the bottom one against it.
This completes the installation.
While holding up on the eyebolt, adjust the top non locking nut so that the "eye" of
