F. Select the radio button beside
either Fixed IP Address or
Dynamic IP Address. Use the
Fixed IP Address if there is no
DHCP server on your network
and you want the GigaDrive to
use a static or fixed IP address.
With the Fixed IP Address set-
ting, you can also use the
F
GigaDrive as your network's
DHCP
server.
Use
the
Dynamic IP Address setting if you already have a DHCP server on your
network. After you have made your selection, click Next. If you selected
the Fixed IP Address setting, proceed to step G. If you selected the
Dynamic IP Address setting, proceed to step I.
G. Set the GigaDrive's IP address
and network information.
Server Name The GigaDrive's
name can be up to 14 alphanu-
meric characters in length.
IP Address
Set the Giga-
Drive's IP address here. Make
G
sure it is on the same LAN seg-
ment as the PC running the
Setup Wizard.
Subnet Mask The Subnet Mask must match the other devices on your
network.
Default Gateway The value is left blank by default. If you have a router
on your network, enter its IP address here.
H. Set the GigaDrive as your net-
work's DHCP server if no
other device is functioning as
a DHCP server on your net-
work. To use the GigaDrive as
a DHCP server, click the box
next
to
Enable
DHCP
Server. Then enter the range
of IP addresses you wish to
H
assign on your network. The
first three Start and Finish
fields must match the GigaDrive's IP address, with the final fields rang-
ing from 2-250. Then click Next.

Set the Local Time, Time
Zone, and Local Date on the
GigaDrive. Then click Next.

J. Review the GigaDrive's set-
tings. If they are correct, click
Save. If you would like to
change them, click Back to
return to a previous screen.

K. You will be notified that changes to
the GigaDrive's settings are being
made. To save these changes, click
K
OK. To return to the previous screen,
click Cancel.
L. Click Exit to exit the Setup
Wizard.

The installation of the EtherFast Network Attached Storage is complete.
To further customize its configuration, use the GigaDrive's Web-based
Utility, and proceed to step 3.
Accessing the EtherFast Network
Attached Storage's Web-based Utility
The EtherFast Network Attached Storage's Web-based Utility is accessible
from any PC on the network.
A. Start the PC's web browser.
B. In the web browser's address win-
dow, enter the GigaDrive's IP
address (192.168.1.77 is the
B
default). Then press the Enter
key.
Use the Web-based Utility to further customize the GigaDrive's config-
uration. Refer to the User Guide for additional information about the
GigaDrive and its Web-based Utility.
