OVERVIEW

OVERVIEW

OPERATION

The LEDMASTER CLASSIC is a dimmer specially designed to drive "Tunable White" equipments, composed of two light sources: warm white and cool white.

The system allows the user to get a colour balance between the two light sources. This balance can then be dimmed, without drifting, in order to get the desired brightness.

The LEDMASTER CLASSIC offers a second mode of operation, used to control independently the two output channels.

It is compatible with most of the continuous current light sources, thanks to its wide voltage range (5VDC to 24VDC), and its maximum current of 2x6A.

Power supply …

The electrical power supply should be plugged-in the XLR4 Male connector …. The polarity is described in the following illustration:

The switch † is used to turn ON/OFF the system. When the system is powered, the indicator turns on.

The input voltage range is 5VDC to 24VDC. The maximum current is 12A. The four pins have to be connected in case the light source consumes over 6Amps.

The voltage applied at the input should be compatible with the light source connected to the outputs.

Outputs ‡

The outputs are located on the XLR 4 Female connector ‡. The light source to drive has to be connected on this connector.
TThe polarity is described in the following illustration:

Both VCC pins have to be connected in case the light source consumes more than 6Amps.
The maximum output current is 6Amps per channel (12A total).

Modes

The mode of operation can be selected using the switch ƒ. The two modes are: Tunable White and Dual Channel.

Tunable White Mode

This mode is used to control the colour temperature and the brightness of a light source composed of two channels warm+cool white.

The rotary button „ is used to adjust the balance between the two channels. The rotary button ‚ is used to adjust the brightness.

The brightness adjustment does not affect the colour balance. The adjustment of the colour balance does not affect the brightness.

Dual channel mode

The mode is used to adjust the brightness of the two channels independently. The first channel is controlled by the rotary button ‚ and the second by the rotary button „.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Proper use:
This unit is designed to control lighting sources using PWM commands. Use the device only in its intended use as described in this manual. Any other use, as well as use in other conditions, will be considered non-compliant and can cause injury and damage. No liability will be assumed for damages resulting from improper use.

shock hazard Electric shock caused by a short circuit
Do not modify the power cord nor the plug. In case of non- compliance, there is a risk of electric shock and fire hazard and death. If in doubt, contact a certified technician.

Eye injuries due to a high light intensity
Do not look at the beam light directly to avoid any visual problems.

burn hazard Risk of fire
Never cover the device nor its ventilation slots. Do not install the device close to a source of heat. Keep the device away from flames.

Terms of use
The device is designed for indoor use. To prevent damage, do not expose the product to liquid or moisture. Avoid direct sunlight, clogging and strong vibrations.

Power supply
Check the operation of the power supply before connecting to the system.
Before connecting the appliance, check if the voltage indicated on the device matches the voltage on the local supply network and if the socket is fitted with a differential circuit breaker. In case of non-compliance, the device could be damaged and the user might be injured.
When a storm is announced or the unit must not be used for an long time, unplug it to reduce the risk of electric shock or fire.
