TERMINAL GIGAS O terminal GIGAS PSTN é um terminal especifico para linha telefônica comutada, pertencente à nova família de terminais de pagamento Gigas, da Urmed-Daruma. Em uma única unidade são agrupadas todas as funções POS/EFT inclusive o PIN-PAD para uso simples e confortável. -

O terminal GIGAS facilita todas as operações que demandam interação do cliente, emprega um único cabo de ligação com uma caixa, que fornece todas as conexões necessárias (tomada para a conexão do adaptador AC, linha telefônica, etc.) e que pode ser fixada na parede ou fixada sob o tampo do balcão. O terminal GIGAS aceita cartões magnéticos e cartões inteligentes EMV Chip Cards. -

INSTALAÇÃO A instalação do terminal GIGAS envolve algumas operações simples para conectá-lo à rede elétrica, a outros dispositivos e a inserção do cartão SAM. Conexão à rede CA O terminal GIGAS pode ser conectado diretamente à rede 110/230 Vac por um adaptador de CA/CC externo fornecido com o terminal. -

Conexão à rede telefônica (PSTN) Para conectar o modem à linha telefônica proceder da seguinte forma: Usando o cabo de telefone fornecido com o terminal, coloque o plugue RJ-11 na tomada indicada na Figura 5 onde está indicado "linha telefônica"; Coloque a outra ponta do cabo com o plugue telefonico na saída de telefone existente utilizando, quando necessário, o adaptador fornecido com o terminal. -

Cartão de Memória SD/MMC Dependendo do modelo do terminal, ele pode ser equipado com uma ranhura para cartão SD/MMC. (Figura7). GIGAS TERMINAL The GIGAS PSTN terminal specialized in connecting via switched telephone line, belong to the Gigas family Urmet's new electronic payment terminals characterized by modular design. -
Page 17: Technical Description
The GIGAS terminal facilitates all operations that may request client interaction, by utilising a single connection cable with a junction box that provide all necessary connections (adapter power supply socket, telephone line, etc..) and that can also be applied to the wall or attached underneath the counter top. The GIGAS terminal accepts magnetic cards and EMV chip cards. -

Magnetic Card Reader The Magnetic Card Reader is the sliding type. The card must be swiped through the card reader with the magnetic stripe facing down and towards the display as shown in Figure 2. Figure 2 Chip Card Reader The Chip Card Reader is situated at the front part of the terminal. -

INSTALLATION The installation of the GIGAS terminal involves some simple operations for connecting to the main supply, to other devices such as the cash register and inserting of the SAM card. Connection to the A.C. main supply The GIGAS terminal can be connected to the main supply 110/230 Vac directly through an external AC/DC adapter supplied with the terminal. -

Connection to the telephone network (PSTN) To connect the modem to the telephone line proceed as follows: Using the appropriate telephone cable supplied with terminal, insert the RJ-11 plug into the socket indicated in Figure 5 with the wording "telephone line"; Insert the other end of the cable with telephone plug into the existing telephone outlet using , when necessary, the adapter supplied with terminal. -

SD/MMC Memory Card Depending on the terminal model, the terminal can be equipped with an SD/MMC card slot. ( Figure 7).
