    Rafter Assembly — Style A RAFTER ASSEMBLY After setting ground posts, continue with rafter assembly. Secure each rafter joint using an FAH322 (5/16") carriage bolt (1), FAMF03B flat washers (2), and FALB32B nut (1). NOTE: All rafter assemblies consist of three (3) main rafter sections (not including the ground posts). Consult rafter diagrams in Quick Start section of these instructions before and during rafter assembly process for details.
  • Page 11 Rafter Assembly — Style B MID RAFTERS WITH SUPPORTS — STYLE B Upper struts and crossbars attach to rafters using band clamps. During assembly of the Style B rafter, slide the band clamps onto rafter tubes and assembled crossbar before you install the connecting bolts and attach crossbar to rafter.

    Frame Assembly FRAME ASSEMBLY Use the diagrams and information that follow to assemble main frame. ATTENTION: Rafters are heavy. Always lift rafter from two separate points to prevent damage and injury. Examine site to determine the best way to move rafters into position and to set them onto each set of ground posts. Review the Side Profile diagram for your high tunnel to determine positions of Style A and Style B rafters.
  • Page 13 Frame Assembly FRAME ASSEMBLY (continued) After setting and bracing the first end rafter, set the second rafter (Rafter Style B) and slide the plain end of a purlin pipe (131S075) into the 102857 end clamp at the locations shown. Consult technical diagrams for connection details. Slide the free, swaged/tapered end of each purlin pipe through a 102547 cross connector placed over the second rafter in the same positions.

  • Page 15 Frame Assembly FRAME ASSEMBLY (continued) After setting and connecting first four (4) rafters using purlins and cross connectors, remove end rafter bracing and repeat steps to continue with assembly. Continue adding rafters and purlin pipes. Review Side Profile diagram in Quick Start section for designated rafter style positions.
  • Page 16 Side End Bay Strut Installation Install side struts as shown. After installing struts, drive a Tek screw through each band clamp and into the rafter pipe. Install Tek screws in locations that will not interfere with or contact the main cover when installed. Tape over screws if needed to protect cover material during installation.
  • Page 17 Anchor Assembled Frame ANCHOR ASSEMBLED FRAME Front/Back At this point, anchor the high tunnel frame. Consult the of Frame MUST READ document for anchoring information and Rafter suggestions. Call customer service at 1-800-245-9881 for additional anchoring information if needed. CAUTION: The anchor assembly is an integral part of the high tunnel construction.
  • Page 18 Install End Frame END FRAME ASSEMBLY This building includes end wall framing. Brackets and hardware are included for assembly. Use these steps to install the end wall framing and the supplied connecting hardware. Consult end frame diagrams in Quick Start section for additional details.
  • Page 19 Install End Panels END PANEL INSTALLATION After all end wall framing is installed, locate the end panels and place one at each end of the assembled frame. CC6214 Fabric Clip Panel Pocket Ground Level Complete these steps: 1. Locate the CC6214 fabric clips and divide the quantity in half.

  • Page 21 Baseboard Installation — Required BASEBOARD INSTALLATION — REQUIRED Interior Rafter Gather the parts: • 2" x 6" treated (if allowed) lumber (supplied by customer). • 1/4" x 4" Carriage Bolts (FAH009B), FAME50B (1/4") flat washers, and FALB01B (1/4") nuts (included). When properly installed, baseboard runs length of frame Baseboard at ground level.
  • Page 22 Install Ribbon Board — Required RIBBON BOARD INSTALLATION Gather parts: • Ribbon Board Material: 2" x 6" treated lumber (supplied by customer) to attach to rafters. • 1/4" x 4" carriage bolts (FAH009B), FAME50B (1/4") flat washers, and FALB01B (1/4") nuts (included). Size and type of material may require alternative steps.

It allows the operator to secure the roll-up sides to the end rafters when sides are closed. Install a section of 102197 u-channel at each frame corner between the ribbon board and the baseboard.

Using gearbox with square shaft installed, determine needed length of roll-up conduit (which is attached to panel) and cut to length so conduit end can connect to gearbox shaft.
