Quick start AMB8466-M-GMM
Configurator

1 Short description

The AMB8466-M-GMM is a gateway for wired M-Bus to wireless M-Bus/OMS. The AMB8466-
M-GMM Configuration program serves to configure details of the AMB8466-M-GMM.
The configuration of some details is only necessary if not all wired M-Bus modules can be found
via the automatic search. In this case the connected M-Bus counters can, through this software,
be registered manually on the GMM.
We recommend using the procedure described in the "AMB8466-M-GMM Mount
Instruction" documentation, when the meter address (id, version devicetype &
manufacturer) and/or the used m-bus baudrate (300, 2400 or 9600) is not known.

2 Requirements

The PC or laptop is connected via a USB stick AMB8465-M.
The software has been designed for the following 32 bit operating systems:
 Windows XP
 Windows Vista
 Windows 7
Native operation on 64 bit operating systems is not supported.
To run the software an installed .NET Framework Version 3.5 or higher is required.
The monitor of the applied PC/laptop should have a minimum resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels.
For the AMB8465-M USB-stick an available USB-2.0-host-port and the relevant FTDI drivers on
the PC are required.
Quick start
Before starting the configurator the AMB8465-M must be connected to the USB port of the PC.
After the start the software displays the following user menu. These functions are documented
in the following paragraphs.
