Things to consider:

• Other wireless equipment using the same fre quency band can reduce the transmission range.
• The range of all wireless equipment depends on the type of obstacles located between the transmitter and the receiver (e.g. a concrete wall will interfere with the signal more than a plasterboard wall).

If you experience problems, try the following:

• Turn off any other existing wireless equipment to check whether this is the cause of the problem.
• Reposition the wireless equipment, shorten the distance between the transmitter and the receiver or reduce the number of obstacles (walls, furniture, etc.) between them.

Safety

• Never subject the repeater to high temperatures, dust, heavy vibration, impacts, humidity or moisture.
• Never attempt to dismantle or modify the repeater as it contains no userserviceable parts.

Product description

• Repeater/signal booster for extending existing Z-Wave networks.
• The device acts as a signal repeater which helps eliminate RF-dead spots by repeating signals transmitted from a gateway or remote control.
• Under optimum conditions the repeater has a range of up to 30 metres.

Mounting and installation

1. Orient the backplate so that the locking tab is at the bottom and mount the backplate in the desired location using the included screws or double-sided adhesive tape.
   Note:
   If you mount the repeater using screws, first make sure that there are no hidden electrical cables or water pipes in the wall which could be damaged by drilling the mounting holes.
2. Refit the repeater to the backplate, making sure that the locking tab clicks into place.
3. Plug the mains adaptor into a wall socket and then into the Micro-USB port on the repeater.
4. The LED will start flashing to indicate that the repeater is not yet installed in a Z-Wave network.
5. Set your Z-Wave control device to learning mode.
6. Carefully press [ Programming ] button. The button is recessed in a hole so a thin object such as a paper clip will be needed to press the button. The repeater will now be installed into your existing Z-Wave network.

Uninstallation

1. Set your Z-wave control device to the device-removal mode.
2. Carefully press the programming button. The button is recessed in a hole so a thin object such as a paper clip will be needed to press the button. The repeater will now be uninstalled from your Z-Wave network.

Care and maintenance

• Always disconnect the mains adaptor from the power point if the repeater is not to be used for a long time.
• Clean the repeater using a lightly moistened cloth. Use only mild cleaning agents, never solvents or corrosive chemicals.

Disposal

This repeater should be disposed of in accordance with local regulations. If you are unsure how to proceed, contact your local council.
