Clearance requirement
This clearance requirement is applicable for washers only.
NOTE
• For dryer's clearance requirement, see the dryer's user manual.
• If the washer and dryer have different clearance requirements, use the one with the larger value.
Alcove or closet installations
Minimum clearance for stable operation:

1 in. (25 mm)
If both the washer and a dryer are installed in the same location, the front of the alcove or closet must have
two unobstructed air openings for a combined minimum total area of 72 in² (465 cm²).
