9. CONFIGURE LOGS50 UNIT WITH YOUR COMPUTER USING THE APPLICATION “CONFIGURATOR PROGRAM CONF50” Once LOGS50 is powered, approach a magnet to the REED switch indicated on the enclosure with the symbol shown. A buzzer will sound in the presence of the magnet. Keep the magnet close for 2-3 seconds. This action will awake the BT module.

Its functionality is not predefined, the user decides to give specific operations to his group loggers; therefore, it is necessary to upload a set of operating instructions to the LOGS50 so that every unit knows exactly the tasks have to be undertaken.
There is a minimum gap of time between samples of 2 seconds that should be respected. 2 seconds is also the resolution when defining a time interval, i.e., LOGS50 can be configured to make data acquisitions for instance, on “15/03/2009, 17:15:(00 / 15 / 30 / 45)”.
GND signal of each connector is shared by both digital and analogical signals. i.e., both DI1-AI1 and DI2- AI2 only have a GND wire shared by all the signals of the same group. Installation Manual LOGS50 EN_MI_090221 18 | 50...

It can be said that is a multipoint configuration where a server device controls and stores all the history data that a certain number of LOGS50 have previously recorded in remote.
SIGNAL CONNECTIONS Next, there is a brief description of the whole connection system for LOGS50 units. For more details of range and limitations please read the following chapters and the Technical specifications at the end of this document. On the other hand, and due to the different kinds of sensors that can be used, the following figure details the connections that can be used in case of having: ...

LOGS50 MODEL WITH INTEGRATED PRESSURE SENSOR The commercial reference for this model is LOGS50DP83. Model which belongs to the LOGS50 family that incorporates a built-in sensor wired to the logger's analog input 3 (AI-3 = pressure sensor). Sensor availability with several pressure ranges and units of measurement (Bar, PSI…).
(COM-POW). INTERNAL PRIMARY OR RECHARGABLE BATTERIES LOGS50 uses up to 4 lithium cells that allows it to work in an autonomous way. These types of batteries are available in various formats and provide a nominal voltage of 7,2 VDC power and current peaks up to 2 A. These batteries are high capacity and high power and to keep this specified high performance only the models that meet all these requirements should be used.
%BATERY resetting. EXTERNAL POWER SUPPLY As an alternative to the internal lithium batteries, LOGS50, as said earlier, has an external power connector (COM-POW) that permits the device to work using a commercial external power supply simultaneously with the internal batteries as backup.
The technical details related to mobile communication can be consulted in the Specifications chapter. BLUETOOTH LOCAL WIRELESS COMMUNICATIONS Communication between LOGS50 and PC or laptop it is done via BT at 19200 bauds. Those communications allow to edit configuration parameters, and the execution of certain utilities.
1.10 POTENTIAL FREE OR SOLENOID OUTPUTS LOGS50 units include a total of two potential free outputs or dry contacts, formed by contacts of their corresponding relays. These relays are bi-stable latch type so once their state is fixed, they do not consume maintenance energy.
1.11 DIGITAL INPUTS 1.11.1. HARDWARE CONFIGURATION LOGS50 loggers have up to 8 digital inputs numbered from 0 to 7. For each input, two kinds of terminals are needed, one specific to each input and another one common to all of them (GND).
60s then, the stored value will be eq Value assigned by the user in the LOGS50 configurator program. The system time resolution is 5ms approximately, if the logger is in sleep mode, 20 ms are needed in order to proceed with the time calculation;...
1.12 +24 VDC / + 12 VDC POWER SUPPLY OUTPUT LOGS50 has been designed with an assistant output for power supply which provides an isolated voltage from the batteries. This output offers a +24V DC voltage and its functioning can be linked to an analogical input reading so that...
1.13 ANALOG INPUTS LOGS50 integrates a maximum of four analog inputs. As explained before, these inputs can make use of the 24 or 12 VDC power supply generated by the own unit. Signals obtained from each input are acquired by the logger with a 12- bit resolution.
2 FUNCTIONONALITIES This chapter intends to establish a schematic diagram of the LOGS50 task management and the three main functionalities of the device which are Master mode Slave mode Alarms notice 2.1. TASK MANAGEMENT LOGS50 unit has an internal mechanism of control that allows an efficient management of the tasks.

The SMS delivery to the final addressee is the duty of the mobile phone company. In any case, LOGS50 makes three attempts to send the alarm; if the three attempts failed then the logger would record that fact in the alarm history log.
The SMS delivery to the addressee is the duty of the mobile phone company. In any case, LOGS50 unit makes three attempts to send the message; if the three attempts failed then the logger would record that fact in the alarm history log.
With this task it is possible to send the same addressee the data and alarm history log within the same communication. 2.1.11. ACTIVATE / DEACTIVATE OUTPUT TASK It is possible to activate / deactivate a digital output out of the LOGS50 when an event or a repetition pattern occurs. 2.1.12. ACTIVATE COMMUNICATION WINDOW It is possible to activate a communication window only through a repetition pattern.
2.2. MASTER MODE In this working mode, LOGS50 unit initiates a GSM / GPRS /3G call with data to a specified IP established in the internal configuration. LOGS50 unit will play the master roll being possible the following actions: Send data history log. It will be implemented as a data transfer of registers from the logger toward a slave element.
2.3.2. BASE STATION IN SLAVE MODE The base station must be also prepared to receive information from LOGS50 at any time. I. e., to work as slave element. The information to be transferred by LOGS50 is determined on its configuration which is the element that indicates an action the logger has to carry out and when has to do it.
