Precautions

• Do NOT disassemble the instrument
• Do NOT bump any part of the instrument
• After use, clean the interchangeable rod/washer, etc., apply a coat of anti-corrosive oil
and store them in their original containers
• Use only the supplied parts and accessories. Do NOT use then with other
instruments

Install the Dial Indicator

Install the dial indicator by inserting its spindle into the holder so that the
indicator reads at least 0.3mm. Secure the dial indicator with the clamp
screw (Fig. 1).

minimum number of rods, washers and sub-anvils to achieve the size you require.

Zero Adjustments With A Setting Ring or Master Gauge

The setup for the bore gauge is the same as that for an actual measurement.
Sub-anvil
Diameter (e) is maximized when intersection (Fig. 4A) is perpendicular to the axis of the objective
cylinder. In contrast, diameter (e) is minimized at intersection (Fig.
Washer
4B) which includes the cylinder axis so the bore gauge takes
the maximum reading. When using the bore gauge, adjust the
movement of the contact point along (a) on the intersection (Fig. 4A)
and along (e) on intersection (Fig 4B).
To adjust the datum point to diameter (e), search for a position

required to adjust the datum point using the micrometer as it is not automatically set to proper
position by the guide. NOTE: Hold the micrometer vertically so
that the micrometer head is facing downward. Do NOT clamp the
micrometer while performing this adjustment (Fig. 7).

Attach The Limit Hand

To install the limit hand (where provided), hook
it on the lower bezel and push it until it clicks
into place (Fig. 2). To remove it, force it open.

Set The Measuring Dimension

To set the required measuring dimension, select the appropriate interchangeable
where the bore gauge reading is minimized by
rocking the bore gauge back and forth (Fig. 5).
Last, adjust the datum point by turning the bezel
unit until it is aligned with the indicator hand,
representing the obtained diameter (Fig. 6).

Zero Setting With An Outside Micrometer

Mount the micrometer firmly on the stand, then set the opening
to an appropriate size. Place the bore gauge into the micrometer
opening and find the position where it indicates the minimum
value. Adjust the datum point by rotating the bezel. Skill is
