Set-up for LP Unit (RH-50)

1. Fasten unit to bench.
2. Attach LP unit, attach LP regulator to LP tank.
NOTE: Regulator is a left hand thread.
3. Attach Black LOP gas hose from regulator to back of unit.
4. Attach air supply hose to rear of unit, fitting is a 1/4 inch
female pipe thread.
5. Make sure all fittings are tight.
IMPORTANT! On all LP units, air line pressure to unit must
be regulated to 130 psi or less. Failure to do so could result
in damage to air valve.

Set-up for Natural Gas Unit (RH-50N)

1. Fasten unit to bench
2. Attach the appropriate natural gas supply line to your
existing natural gas outlet. Adaptor may be required to
complete the connection.
3. Attach air supply hose to rear of unit, fitting is a 1/4 inch
female pipe thread.
IMPORTANT! On all natural gas units, please check you
gas pressure. Pressure is not to exceed 1/2 psi for this unit to
operate properly. (You may have to contact your local gas
company to have them check your gas pressure.)

Operation

1. Turn gas cock knob to OFF position and allow 5 minutes
for any gas in combustion chamber to escape. (LP gas,
being heavier than air, may require forced ventilation.)
2. Turn gas cock knob to PILOT position.
3. Push down on gas cock knob and light the pilot. Hold this
knob down for one full minute after lighting pilot.
4. When gas cock knob is released, pilot should continue to
burn. (If pilot should go out, repeat the above steps.)
5. Rotate gas cock knob from PILOT to ON position (full
counter-clockwise position) to supply full input to torches.

Pilot Flame Adjustment

These controls are factory reset and will not normally require
additional adjustment of pilot flame. If field adjustment of pilot
flame is required, remove PILOT ADJUST COVER SCREW
to expose adjusting screw. Turn adjusting screw clockwise to
reduce flame, or counter-clockwise to increase flame.
Replace PILOT ADJUST COVER SCREW and tighten
securely.
NOTE: On first time start up or when changing gas bottles,
air will be present in the lines and it will require about 45 sec-
onds to clear.
• Yellow air adjustment knob is located on the front of the
unit. Turn clockwise to increase and counter clockwise to
decrease air mixture.
• Flames should be blue in color for best heat value. If air is
turned too high, torches may be blown out. If this hap-
pens, reduce air mixture and torches will relight.
