  • Page 3 Setting Up: Batte 1. Connect the wire of the rain gauge to the jack of the Rain Meter 2. Observing the correct polarization, insert 2 x AA, IEC LR6 batteries into the compartment at the back of the Rain Meter and replace the cover.
  • Page 4 Pressing both the RESET 1 and RESET 2 keys: Changes the display between inch and mm Display of rainfall data: When raining, the rainfall data will be collected through the rain gauge and transmitted to the Rain Meter (receiver) in counter 1, 2, and “AUTO”.
  • Page 5 Note: If no rain is recorded during a period of 2 hours the “AUTO” counter will display the last recorded data. The “AUTO” counter will automatically reset to 0.00 inch or 0.0 mm when rain begins again. Auto Off Function: The Rain Meter will automatically power OFF when no rain has been recorded the last 12 hours and no keys have been pressed during that period.
  • Page 6 Positioning The Rain Gauge Position the connected rain gauge outdoor to collect rainfall data (maximum length of wire: 33 feet/ 10m). Ensure that the rain gauge is placed in a secure and flat location where it can properly collect properly rain quantity without obstruction.
