Functional Description SMBus Functionality Power supply to the PCI Express MiniCard and ExpressCard slots can be controlled using the onboard IO-Expander. In order to be able to reset the board during operation, the power supply of the PCI Express MiniCards or ExpressCards can be switched off using the SMBus, which then allows the board to be reset without having to shut down the system. -
