- Page 3 Installation Steps Step 1 Remove the battery cover and insert 2 AA batteries into the Remote battery compartment according to the correct terminals. Replace the battery cover. Step 2 Hold the Remote holder flat against the wall where it is going to be installed. Ensure that the holder position is level (horizontal) using a level ruler.
