Choosing the Proper Dome Included with your Hearex™ Premier are six ear domes. There are two styles to choose from offered in three sizes. The Open Dome (Top of Image) is recommended for mild-moderate hearing loss. The Hybrid Dome (Bottom of Image) is recommended for moderate hearing loss.
Changing the Dome 1. Remove the dome from the sound tube. 2. Grasp new dome between your thumb and forefinger. 3. Gently push the dome over the flanges on the sound tube. 4. Ensure the dome is properly seated and secure. It is recommended that domes be replaced every 2 - 3 months.
Changing the Sound Tube The sound tubes are labeled with either blue or red to indicate which ear they are meant for. Included with your device are size #1 and #2 sound tubes. These sizes are suitable for most people but may not be the right fit for you.

Changing the Sound Tube 1. Insert the sound tube into the recessed jack on the base of the device. 2. Rotate clockwise until sound tube is securely fastened. 3. Do not over-tighten. 4. Removal is the reverse of installation.
Insert Battery / Turn On 1. Remove tab from size 312 zinc-air battery and wait one minute for battery to activate. 2. Open battery door (Do not pass 90°). 3. Gently place battery in the battery compartment with “+” symbol facing up.

Adjusting the Volume The Hearex™ Premier has a volume 10 Volume Levels level range from 1 - 10. To raise the volume press and quickly release the top of the switch. To lower the volume press and quickly release the bottom of the switch.
Adjusting the Hearing Program 4 Hearing Programs The Hearex™ Premier comes preset with 4 unique hear- ing programs. To change the program press and hold the switch (up or down) until you hear the beep(s). The number of beeps correspond to the selected hearing program.
Program Best For Alert Everyday listening, watching TV, Program 1 One Beep and having conversations at home. Normal Minimum noise reduction. Restaurants, small gatherings, Program 2 Two Beeps church, group conversations, Social meetings, out and about. Noisy environments, large crowds, Program 3 Three Beeps traffic, loud music.
Telecoil Mode (Program 4) Your Hearex™ Premier comes equipped with a small coil located inside the device known as a “Telecoil”. The telecoil acts as a type of receiver which picks up magnetic signals and transfers them as sound directly to your hearing device. Telecoil Mode can be used anywhere a “Loop System”...
• Avoid exposure to excessive heat or moisture (Store in a cool dry place). • Do not use hair spray or a hair dryer while wearing your Hearex™ Premier. • Do not wear while showering, swimming, in the rain, or wet environments.
Troubleshooting / Tips Whistling (feedback) occurs when amplified sound leaves the ear, then returns to the microphone and is re-amplified. If you experience feedback at higher volumes try using a closed ear dome. For optimum performance, replace the sound tube and ear dome every three months. When hearing amplifiers are not working properly, a vast majority of the time this is the result of obstructing ear wax.

First Time Users Adjustment Period: Medical studies have shown that the brain requires time to adjust to a hearing aid or amplifier. Everyone learns at different rates and while some people may adjust in a few weeks, for others it may take a few months. It is recommended to begin wearing your hearing amplifier part-time and gradually increase to wearing them for most of the waking hours.
This warranty does not cover malfunctions due to unusual wear and tear or mistreatment of your Premier, such as physical shock, damage from moisture, excessive wax build-up, or tampering with the instrument, all of which void the warranty.
